mixed may

The weather keeps the conversation going, as temperatures refuse to rise and most people are still wearing warm clothes. When a sudden summery day happens, it surprises everybody wearing tights and jackets. Anyway, I've been wearing my lightweight coats (almost summer coats) and keeping on layering, which I consider the most sensible option these days.

This is one of my favourite spring/autumn uniforms, I've worn it many times (Oct2019, May2019, Oct2018, Jun2018, Nov2015, Feb2014, Oct2013) and hope to wear it many more. Still going strong!.

Este es uno de mis uniformes favoritos, lo he llevado muchas veces ya (Oct2019, May2019, Oct2018, Jun2018, Nov2015, Feb2014, Oct2013) y pienso llevarlo muchas más!.

- striped coat, a hand-me-down by a friend (vintage 90's?) / abrigo de rayas, del desván de una amiga, vintage de los 90?

- trousers, PuntRoma (old) / pantalón

- sneakers/maryjanes, elémenterre outlet / zapatillas-merceditas
- shawl and bag, both retail (old) / pañuelo y bolso, tiendas locales
- mask, by Nonapapallona / mascarilla, de Nonapapallona
I went for a walk in this outfit, which I wore previously Nov2011. I don't have any problem in re-wearing same outfits!. This red t-shirt was designed by local designer Ramonak Workshop (not sponsored, link because I like it)

- sneakers, Reebok outlet (old) / zapatillas
- straw bag, Etsy (old) / bolso de mimbre, Etsy

- red coat, La Redoute (old) / abrigo rojo
- striped t-shirt, clearance sale (old) / camiseta rayas, de liquidación
- jungle print trousers, CandA (old) / pantalón estampado jungla

Hope you're keeping yourselves safe and as fabulous as possible!

Por favor, seguid cuidando la salud y pasándolo todo lo estupendamente que podáis.

  1. Mixed May is exactly right - the weather has been doing the same here.

You are wearing two of my most favourite items of yours; that fabulous striped coat and the jungle trousers. All three outfits were lovely; so beautifully layered with interesting patterns and textures and wonderful accessories.

Are your second hand street markets setting up again? We can't wait to get a car boot sale but the weather seems to have prevented a lot of them returning...

    1. Thanks, Veronica, these are some of my favourite items too!, and you know I love accessorizing!.
We have had our Sunday street market since March (after months of lockdown) but it doesn't look as it used to be, as many stalls are not open anymore.

  3. Layering is indeed the most sensible option, and I have to agree wholeheartedly with Beate that you're doing it like a pro. I'm loving your first outfit in particular, no matter how many times you've worn it. Surely, that's what clothes are made for, and why would you fix something that isn't broken anyway?
Your maxi skirt is delightful and I love the juxtaposition of its pastels with the fiery red of the graphic t-shirt. The final outfit is a triumph too. Besos xxx

  6. The striped coat is one of my favourite pieces in your wardrobe. May has been a strange mix of weather here in Ontario, Canada too. The beginning of last week it was 30 degrees (Celsius) and this morning it was only 4 degrees!
