Holiday and Heatwaves

Please, notice the plural of 'Heatwaves' as we're having our Number Two, with some days in between when we had only 'normal summer weather' around 30ºC. Anyway, we always try to make the most of those 'not heatwave days', running errands, visiting our fav street market, going to the local orchards to buy some fruits, and finally attending a wedding!. We've been busy, actually.
Esto va de olas de calor, en plural, porque ya vamos con la segunda, con unos cuantos días en medio en que teníamos tiempo 'normal de verano' osea unos 30ºC. En esos momentos es cuando hay que aprovechar el tiempo para hacer recados, ir al mercadillo o acercarse a los huertos locales a comprar fruta, y finalmente también para ir de boda!. Hemos estado ocupados de verdad!.

I do love to buy local, and there's nothing more local than cherries and peaches bought from local farmers. We're huge fans so usually buy too many of them, as they ripen naturally and last for days and days even in our high temperatures. I was wearing a second hand linen tunic (dyed in rusty orange by me) and trousers by PuntRoma (old), sandals by Paredes and charity shopped necklace. Repeat offender outfit as I wore it again, as it's one of my favourite 'heatwave capsule' outfits (wear, wash, repeat)
Nos gusta comprar producto local, y nada más local que los huertos de frutas donde se pueden comprar cerezas y melocotones. Normalmente compramos más de la cuenta, pero no importa porque es fruta que madura naturalmente y dura días y días incluso en estas altas temperaturas. Llevaba una túnica de lino de segunda mano (que teñí en este tono naranja óxido) y pantalón de PuntRoma de hace años, sandalias de Paredes y un collar de una tienda solidaria. Y es un conjunto reincidente, porque me lo puse de nuevo a los pocos días, es uno de mis favoritos de ola de calor (lavar y poner al momento).

Another one of those 'wear, wash, repeat' kind of outfits that totally make a difference in the summertime. Linen blouse was acquired second hand at our local street market, and linen trousers were recently retail shopped. I recommend to hang linen clothes right out from the washing machine, preferably on a hanger, and skip ironing (life is too short to care about wrinkles). That necklace was a present (ages ago!). Chiruca sandals. Second hand bracelets from Vinted. Usual ring by Ciclón.
Otro de esos conjuntos fáciles, del tipo que te puedes poner, lavar y repetir tanto como haga falta, lo que es muy útil en verano. La blusa de lino es de segunda mano del mercadillo y los pantalones de lino de una tiendecita local, comprados hace poco. Lo más recomendable es colgar la ropa de lino en perchas según se saca de la lavadora, y así se evita el planchado (también está bien aceptar cierto nivel de arrugas!, la vida es corta para preocuparse!). El collar fue un regalo, hace siglos. Sandalias Chiruca. Pulseras de segunda mano de Vinted. El habitual anillo es de Ciclón.

'Heatwave Capsule' to the rescue!. That dress was shopped ages ago, from the now out of fashion eBay, and I've worn it many times. That new straw hat came from CandA. Vintage necklace and bracelets, some brassandresin rings, and earrings from Vinted. I wear accessories even when it's 40ºC, still 'layering' in the heatwave!

Recurriendo a los clásicos de ola de calor!. Este vestido lo compré hace años en eBay (no hace tanto tiempo era el mercado de segunda mano de moda), y lo he usado mucho. El sombrerito de paja es del CandA. Collar y pulseras vintage, anillos de latón y resina y unos pendientes de Vinted. Aunque haga 40ºC los accesorios son el modo de añadir interés y no dan calor (o no demasiado!).

Those 'normal summer' days felt like a relief. I was totally happy wearing a jacket in the early morning (15ºC), that's my kind of summer!. That dress came from Vinted (I removed its lining, don't care if it's quite sheer) and jacket was also second hand from local street market. Those sandals by Wonders are ages old. That straw bag was shopped retail when in holiday.
En los días de calor normal se siente verdadero alivio. Esos días en que refresca por las mañanas (15ºC) y te pones una chaquetita, qué maravilla. El vestido es de Vinted (le quité el forro, quedó algo transparente pero no importa), y la chaqueta también es de segunda mano del mercadillo. Sandalias de Wonders, antigüitas. Bolso de paja de una tienda local cuando estaba de vacaciones.

Another 'normal summer weather' day, when we run errands and even sat on a terrace outdoors, making the most of it!. Some things you took for granted are not possible when temperature rises dramatically!. That's another dress from Vinted with sandals by Paredes and some charity shopped accessories.
Otro día 'normal' de verano, y aprovechamos para hacer recados e incluso nos sentamos en una terraza. Ese tipo de cosas que dábamos por sentadas y que luego no se pueden hacer cuando la temperatura sube ridículamente y no se puede ni respirar. Este es otro vestido de Vinted, con unas sandalias Pasredes y accesorios de tiendas solidarias.

That's the dress I'd planned to wear to friends wedding. Finally I had to change my mind because temperature was 39ºC (it was an outdoors ceremony and party), and that's a heavy cotton dress. I picked another one (lucky that I own a great collection!) and also wore a massive hat!. Being comfortable is key!
Este era el vestido que tenía planeado ponerme para la boda de unos amigos. Al final tuve que cambiar de planes porque la temperatura era de 39ºC (la ceremonia y la fiesta era en el exterior) y este es un vestido de algodón muy consistente. Elegí otro, ya que por suerte tengo donde elegir, y también me puse un sombrero bien grande. Porque sin estar cómoda no hay diversión!

Before the Heatwave

I'm taking you back in time again. Those photos were taken two weeks ago, even if it feels ages ago as the weather has changed so dramatically. We've gone from 'normal spring weather' to current Heatwave From Hell!. So now I'm feeling exhausted and annoyed and really tired of the damn heatwave. But let's keep on focused on good old times (two weeks ago!), when we enjoyed that spring weather, we had visitors at home and took them to our favourite nearby village for a walk.
De nuevo vamos atrás en el tiempo, ya que las fotos son de hace dos semanas, aunque parece siglos. Porque el clima ha cambiado de unas temperaturas 'normales' de primavera a golpearnos la Ola De Calor Infernal. Así que, ahora mismo, estoy de bajón total, como suele suceder cuando tenemos ola de calor, es irritante y agotador. Pero, mientras tanto, podemos volver atrás a tiempos más felices (hace dos semanas!) cuando el clima era más agradable y también la compañía, porque teníamos visitas en casa y nos fuimos todos a nuestro pueblo cercano favorito para dar una vuelta.

The weather was quite unpredictable, as it usually happens in spring, so I wore a jacket to our excursion. Also wore jeans (one of the few ones I own). Actually I don't speak 'casual' and I wear my everyday clothes when going out for excursions or travels as most of my clothes are comfy enough (in my book). Same for walking gear.
Everything is secondhand, except sneakers (by Adidas, old), retail shopped bag and that brooch was a present.
El tiempo estaba típicamente primaveral e impredecible, así que me llevé una chaqueta por si refrescaba (y sí, hacía fresquete). También me puse jeans, de los pocos que tengo. En realidad no sé funcionar en 'modo casual' y me pongo mi ropa de diario igualmente cuando voy de excursión o de viaje, ya que la mayoría de mi ropa es suficientemente cómoda, y lo mismo para mi ropa para caminar.
Todo es de segunda mano, excepto las zapatillas de Adidas (antigüitas), el bolso de una tienda local y el broche que fue un regalo.

Next day we drived (actually, Mr.A. did) to the coast and had a fabulous day visiting Getaria and some vineyards.
Al día siguiente nos fuimos a la costa y pasamos un día estupendo visitando unos viñedos en Getaria.

Back to business as usual, I picked those colourful trousers (from Vinted), which are really comfortable and easy to wear!. I'm always looking for 'jungle print' trousers, they're a staple in my wardrobe!. Probably the most versatile ones ever, as you can match them with lots of different tops (you can also create some 'contrast' with unmatchy items!). I added my fav blue cotton scarf (air conditioned office!) and a second hand necklace from Vinted. Sandals by Paredes. Straw hat came from CandA (recently acquired!).
De vuelta a la vida habitual y al trabajo, elegí estos pantalones muy alegres (de Vinted) que son comodísimos y fáciles de llevar. Siempre estoy buscando pantalones con estampados 'tropicales', son un básico en mi armario. Son de lo más versátil, porque combinan con montones de colores diferentes (y también se puede elegir no combinar, sino crear contrastes!). Los accesorios son este pañuelo de algodón (para el aire acondicionado!) y un collar de segunda mano de Vinted. Sandalias Paredes. Sombrerito del CandA, comprado hace poco.

The temperature was increasingly hot last week, so I had to unpack my 'Heatwave Capsule' earlier than expected. That second hand dress has been in my wardrobe for ages, and it's really comfy (gauze cotton!). I added a vintage necklace and those new-to-me earrings from Vinted, some brass rings and second hand bracelets. It was my first day going to the swimming pool after work, so I picked a cross body bag (by FineCorkPortugal) to keep things tidy.
Las temperaturas han ido subiendo a lo largo de la pasada semana y tuve que sacar ya la ropa que reservo para las olas de calor, mucho más pronto de lo habitual. Este vestido es de segunda mano y lo tengo hace siglos, es comodísimo, de gasa de algodón. Le añadí un collar vintage y unos pendientes nuevos-para-mí de Vinted, anillos de latón y resina y unas pulseras de segunda mano. Era mi primer día de piscina después del trabajo, así que me puse un bolsito cruzado (de FineCorkPortugal) que no me ocupara mucho.

That's another 'from work to pool' outfit, comfy and easy to wear. I took some 'real life' crap photos of how I look when going out in the morning, carrying my beach bag and a pouch!. Everything is second hand, except sandals (by Paredes) and retail shopped straw hat.
Este es otro conjunto 'de la oficina a la piscina', fácil de poner y quitar y muy cómodo. Me saqué unas fotos muy 'de la vida real' para mostrar qué pinta tengo cuando salgo por la mañana, llevando mi bolsa de playa y un bolsito. Todo de segunda mano, excepto las sandalias Paredes y el sombrerito de una tienda local.

kind of spring

As we're having some local holidays, we're making the most of those days off and went for a walk to our favourite nearby village. Always a great idea to visit that kind of places on a weekday, but nowadays it's crowded at any time. Anyway, we enjoyed a walk and visited our favourite corners (and bought some bread at a local bakery)
Como tenemos unos días libres porque son fiestas locales, hemos aprovechado y fuimos de visita a un pueblo cercano que nos encanta. Siempre mejor evitar los fines de semana y visitarlo un día de diario, aunque hoy en día hay muchísima gente siempre. Igualmente nos dimos una vuelta y visitamos nuestros rincones favoritos, y claro está, compramos pan en una panadería tradicional.

Back to business as usual, I wore some comfy and colourful clothes to the office. Some colour therapy was needed, as we're reaching our usual hectic season at work. Those colourful trousers came from Vinted. Blouse by LaRedoute (old). Pink jacket was acquired second hand at a street market. Charity shopped scarf and necklace. Straw bag was shopped at Etsy years ago. Sneakers by Nike (old).
De vuelta a la vida cotidiana, me puse algo cómodo y colorido para ir a la oficina. Hacía falta un poquito de colorterapia para animar, porque estamos ya en la temporada alta en el trabajo. Los pantalones tan coloridos son de Vinted. Blusa de LaRedoute, antigua. Chaqueta rosa de segunda mano del mercadillo. Collar y pañuelo de tiendas solidarias. Cesto de paja de Etsy de hace años. Zapatillas Nike, antiguas.

Repeat Offender!. I wore same trousers again, with a striped tshirt (CandA) and orange trench by LaRedoute (old). Red sneakers by Adidas (old). Straw bag was retail shopped years ago. I was feeling quite uninspired last week, so drew on some pre-selected outfits that never fail to cheer me up. Massive trousers to the rescue!
Reincidente total, me puse los mismos pantalones de nuevo, con una camiseta de rayas del CandA y gabardina naranja de LaRedoute (antigua). Zapatillas rojas de Adidas. El cesto de paja de una tienda local, hace años. No estaba muy inspirada la semana pasada, así que recurrí a algunos conjuntos que ya tengo seleccionados y que te salvan el día, como estos pantalones!.-

I think that a maxidress is perfect for uninspired days, particularly if you pick a favourite one and add some bold accessories. That dress came from Vinted. Charity shopped necklace. Retail shopped scarf. Same pink jacket again (it's really versatile and comfy, it even has pockets!).
Para esos días sin inspiración viene bien un vestido, mejor si es largo y vaporoso!, y siempre buena idea añadirle unos accesorios vistosos. El vestido es de Vinted. Collar de una tienda solidaria. Pañuelo de tienda local. La misma chaqueta rosa de antes, que es muy cómoda, y tiene hasta bolsillos!.

Whe went for a walk on Friday evening and watched how local celebrations were almost ready to start (including a 1521 battle reenactment and a ''Renaissance market'). Usually we're on a journey these days, making the most of bank holidays, but not this time!
El viernes por la tarde salimos a hacer recados y vimos cómo estaban preparando las fiestas locales (que incluyen una recreación de una batalla de 1521 y el típico mercadillo renacentista). Normalmente estamos de viaje a estas alturas del año, aprovechando los días festivos, pero no este año.

Orange is the new orange!. Those trousers came from LaRedoute some years ago, and they're another summer favourite ones. Second hand top. Charity shopped scarf. That nylon bag is decades old. Sandals by Paredes (last year). That's what I wore to go out for lunch on Saturday, when we celebrated Mr.A.'s birthday at a lovely restaurant.
El naranja es el nuevo naranja!. Estos pantalones son de LaRedoute de hace unos años, y son de mis esenciales para el verano. El top es de segunda mano. Pañuelo de una tienda solidaria. El bolsito es de hace décadas. Sandalias Paredes del año pasado. Esto es lo que llevaba el sábado cuando celebramos el cumple de Mr.A. saliendo a comer a un restaurante.

Sudden Summer #2

As most of western Europe has been under a 'heat dome' for the last week, the unseasonably high temperatures have probably affected many of you too. That early heatwave has caused all kind of problems, I'm sorry for those who just can't deal with heat because of health problems. And most swimming pool lidos are still closed, so no climate shelter for those who live far away from sea!. No complaining myself as we have 'only' 35ºC most days and I work in an air conditioned office (not a huge fan of it but sometimes it's useful).

Como esta última 'cúpula de calor' ha afectado a toda la zona durante la semana pasada, supongo que también la habréis sufrido. Esta ola de calor tan temprana ha estado causando problemas, y lo siento sobre todo por los que tengan problemas de salud con el calor. Y además es tan pronto que ni están abiertas las piscinas, así que no hay alivio climático para los que viven lejos del mar. Tampoco me quejo, hemos tenido sólo 35ºC la mayoría de días y trabajo en una oficina con aire acondicionado, que no me encanta, pero viene bien a veces.

Last Saturday we went for our usual walk and groceries shopping and then no less usual apéro at favourite tabernas. The temperature was uncomfortably high even in the morning, so we did not stay outdoors for a long time and went home early. I wore that new straw hat recently acquired at CandA. Second hand trousers from Vinted (no label but I was told they're by Ulla Popken) and also second hand linen top. That massive necklace also came from Vinted. Sandals by Paredes. Vintage straw bag was a hand-me-down by Mom.
El sábado pasado fuimos a hacer la compra como de costumbre y también como de costumbre a tomar el vermú a nuestros bares favoritos. Hacía ya bastante calor por la mañana y se fue volviendo más molesto, así que no nos quedamos mucho rato. Me puse este sombrerito de paja que compré hace poco en el CandA. Pantalón de segunda mano de Vinted (sin etiqueta pero parece que es de Ulla Popken) y una camiseta de lino también de segunda mano. El collar también vino de Vinted. Sandalias Paredes. Bolsito de rafia vintage que me dió mi madre.

It has been a strange week not only because of the strange weather but also because of my strange style decissions (I was not feeling the summery vibe despite the heat!). I picked some romantic dainty prints (usually not my favourite thing, as I prefer geometric and bold patterns) and quite unusual colour combos. Some outfits did not tickle my fancy, but others could make me happier when jazzed up properly, I think.
I wore black floral tunics on Monday and Tuesday, both acquired second hand at street markets. But I'm going to keep only the first one (which fits my style so much better). Both leggings by LaRedoute (ages old) and both crochet cardis by me. That yellow straw bag was retail shopped, sandals by Paredes and necklace was charity shopped. The second straw bag was retail shopped during my last algarvian holiday.

La semana ha sido rara, no sólo por el tiempo tan raro, también es que me ha dado por ponerme ropa fuera de lo habitual, porque me ha pillado este verano con el pie cambiado. Todo muy raro. Elegí algunos estampados de florecitas que no son muy de mi estilo, suelo preferir los motivos geométricos y grandes. Y también colores que no suelo llevar. Algunas veces no he acertado, pero otras me han dado ideas, veo posibilidades!. Tanto el lunes como el martes me puse túnicas con motivos florales de fondo oscuro, las dos de segunda mano del mercadillo, y las dos con leggings antigüitos de LaRedoute, y con chaquetitas de ganchillo. Pero sólo me voy a quedar la primera túnica, que me va mejor. El cesto amarillo es de una tienda local, las sandalias Paredes y el collar de tienda solidaria. El otro cesto lo compré en una tiendecita cuando estuve de vacaciones en el Algarve.

Don't let those cardis and scarves mislead you, the temperature raised to 35ºC during the day. But it was 15ºC (or lower) when I walk to work in the early morning, so I need some light layering (also useful at the office). That long cardi was not crocheted by me but acquired at Vinted (bought as a lot with other items for a pittance!). That dress was also second hand shopped and then revamped (removed a section of fabric under the waistband and used it to make sleeves). That necklace was made of spare beads and a tibetan pendant. Straw hat was retail shopped years ago.

Aunque veáis chaquetitas y pañuelos al cuello, que no os engañen, porque la temperatura durante el día ha subido hasta los 35ºC. Pero temprano por la mañana cuando salgo, puede haber 15ºC o menos, y necesito alguna capita de ropa (también útil en la oficina). Esta chaqueta larga no la hice yo, sino que la compré en Vinted (en un lote con otras cosas, y muy baratito). El vestido también es de segunda mano y reformado (le quité un panel debajo de la cintura y lo usé para hacer manguitas). El collar lo hice con restos y un colgante tibetano. El cesto lo compré en una tienda local hace años.

Dainty floral prints are not usually my favourite ones, but I made an exception with that dress because of its 'art nouveau' vibe. It's also very comfortable and lightweight so perfect for our early heatwave. I tend to wear it with long beaded necklaces and that same crochet cardi (because who can resist matchiness? not me!). That dress came from Vinted. Grandma's glass beads and that necklace I made of spare beads again. Crochet cardi by me. Sandals by Paredes. Straw bag shopped from Etsy ages ago.

Los estampados de florecitas no son mis favoritos, pero este vestido es una excepción porque tiene un estilo muy art nouveau. También porque es comodísimo y ligero, perfecto para esta tempranísima ola de calor. Suelo llevarlo siempre con algún collar largo y con esta chaquetita de ganchillo, que combina muy bien (y no puedo resistirme!). El vestido es de Vinted. Los collares de cuentas de vidrio eran de mi abuela y de nuevo también el colgante que hice con restos. Chaquetita de ganchillo. Sandalias Paredes. Cesto comprado en Etsy hace años.

Erratic Spring

On the first week of May we had Spring in full bloom. It was too early for those high temperatures, but only those who suffer from pollen allergy complained (and they're an increasing number, sorry for them!). Anyway the weather was incredibly warm, I had packed my long sleeved items and felt like summer was around the corner. We took advantage of a walk to the market to take some photos at that centric city park where the formal garden was looking so amazing!

En la primera semana de mayo tuvimos un tiempo totalmente primaveral, incluso demasiado cálido para la época del año, pero sólo se quejaron los que lamentablemente sufrieron de alergias (que son cada vez más, pobres!). Hacía un tiempo estupendo, la ropa de manga larga estaba ya toda guardada y parecía que el verano estaba a la vuelta de unos días. Aprovechamos un paseo al mercado para sacar unas fotos en este céntrico parque con su jardín de rosas que estaba todo florecido.

I wore a lightweight trench, because there was a chilly breeze, and my joyful tunic (by Antica Sartoria). Probably one of the few items in my wardrobe I paid full price, but I'm making the most of it. Those turquoise/mint trousers were acquired retail years ago (I have them in three different colours!). Sneakers by Adidas outlet (old). Usual cork bag by FineCorkPortugal.

Llevaba un cortaviento ligero porque hacía algo de viento, y esta túnica de Antica Sartoria, que es una de las poquísimas prendas por las que he pagado el precio completo, pero vale la pena porque le estoy sacando partido. Los pantalones turquesa los compré en una tiendecita hace años (en realidad los tengo en tres colores). Zapatillas adidas (antigüitas). El habitual bolso de corcho de FineCorkPortugal.

There was a promising warm breeze and trees were beautifully blooming too. I took a diversion in my walk to the bakery only because that path looked particularly appealing. I took my photos by myself on the fly, my mobile phone on a bench, missing a trypod!. Real Life!

En los días siguientes el tiempo siguió estupendo, una brisa cálida, todo verde y florido. Cuando iba a la panadería, tomé un desvío por este caminito junto al río, que me gusta mucho, y me tomé unas fotos improvisadamente, poniendo el móvil sobre un banco. La vida real!

Then the weather changed into winter mode, so suddenly!. It even snowed on nearby mountains (not so strange in the past, but it has become unfrequent). I totally refused to wear a winter coat for the first days, but had to surrender finally. It was coats and tights weather actually, and really cold (12ºC) on the afternoon of the 15th when we attended an outdoors event (some coworkers retirement celebration). We got a cold!

Y luego el tiempo cambió a invierno de golpe, incluso nevó en los montes de alrededor (tampoco era tan raro hace años, pero estamos ya desacostumbrados). Los primeros días me negué a ponerme abrigo otra vez, pero tuve que rendirme. Hacía tiempo de ponerse abrigo y medias, bastante frío (12ºC máxima), sobre todo la tarde del día 15 que estuvimos en la despedida de algunos compañeros de trabajo que se jubilaban y se hizo todo en el jardín, no estaba el tiempo para exteriores y nos resfriamos!.
El vestido es vintage ochentero. Chaquetita ganchillo. Abrigo de Ulla Popken, del año pasado. Los zapatos son antigüitos, los llevé al zapatero para un teñido renovado en azul. Medias Snag. Pañuelo de lana de AlpagaLeMonde.

Glad that I still did not stored that coat, because I wore it a lot of times. It saved my week actually, as I was feeling frankly dispirited. So I embraced purple with yellow details as my theme and went for it!. Obviously, I had to unearth some of my longsleeved tshirts and even my Camper purple shoes which I had already packed in its box.

Menos mal que todavía no había guardado este abrigo, porque me lo puse un montón. Me salvó la semana, con lo desanimada que estaba. Así que me lancé a por el tema morado y amarillo totalmente. Claro está que tuve que sacar de nuevo mis camisetas de manga larga y hasta los zapatos morados de Camper que ya tenía guardaditos en su caja bajo la cama.

Mixed Spring

Those promising high temperatures we had two weeks ago are a distant memory now. Because we're having typical spring weather, which feels like having every possible season in a day, in every possible sequence. Including hail storms and almost dark sky, twenty minutes after an absolutely clear sky. Obviously, it's difficult to dress up for that kind of weather.

Aquellas temperaturas tan altas que tuvimos hace un par de semanas parecen ya algo lejano, porque ahora mismo tenemos el típico tiempo primaveral, que viene a ser como tener todas las estaciones, en todas las posibles combinaciones, en un solo día. Incluyendo tormentas de granizo con el cielo negro, que se forman en veinte minutos después de una mañana sin una nube. Y así es difícil vestirse adecuadamente para el clima.

Let's go back to previous week, when it was so sunny as if summer was around the corner!. I wore my summery pucci-nesque dress and matchy cardi-thing (both acquired at Vinted from same seller!) for a walk and errands on Saturday morning. Totally comfy and weather appropriate. New sandals by Paredes. Usual cork bag by Fine Cork Portugal. Still wearing those cork bags, still not switching them to straw bags (not a huge fan of bags myself, I stick to some 'classics'). But I unpacked my sandals even if I only could wear them for a week or so, and they're now taking a lot of space, waiting for summertime and looking a little bit sad!

La semana anterior hacía un tiempo tan bueno que el verano parecía a la vuelta de la esquina. El sábado por la mañana salimos a hacer los habituales recados y me puse este vestido muy ligero y chaqueta larga a juego (ambos son de Vinted, de la misma vendedora). Muy cómodo y adecuado al tiempo que hacía entonces. Sandalias de Paredes. El habitual bolso de corcho de FineCorkPortugal. Todavía no he cambiado los bolsos de corcho por los también habituales bolsos de rafia o paja (no soy muy de bolsos, repito siempre los mismos). Pero sí que he sacado las sandalias de sus cajas, aunque sólo fuese por una semana escasa, y ahora me ocupan mucho sitio y ahí están, esperando el verano con aire triste!

It was sunny enough to wear a strawhat when going for a walk on Sunday. I don't take photos of my walking gear usually but it's part of my Real Life!. Everything came from second hand stalls at street markets, necklace was made of spare beads and a pendant, sneakers by Adidas (outlet) old.
En la mañana del domingo salí a dar un paseo y hasta me puse sombrero de paja de lo bueno que hacía. No suelo sacarme fotos de mi 'ropa de caminar' pero también es parte de la Vida Real. Todo es de segunda mano del mercadillo, el collar lo hice de sobrantes y un colgante, zapatillas Adidas antiguas.

The weather was not so summery on Monday morning, back to the office. It was rainy all day!. I picked a classic colour combo to match my Seasalt jacket (so useful). That dress came from Vinted (label PuntRoma) and it feels too dressy sometimes so I usually wear it with my sporty Camper shoes and fishnets (by Snag) to give it a twist (I could wear it with converse sneakers or black martens boots too, but have not those and probably could not walk in them anyway). El lunes por la mañana de vuelta a la oficina, ya no hacía un tiempo tan bueno, estuvo lluvioso todo el día. Elegí esta combinación de colores tan clásica para combinar con la chaqueta de Seasalt (impermeable!). El vestido es de Vinted (marca PuntRoma) y a veces se ve demasiado clásico así que suelo ponérmelo con estas zapatillas de Camper y medias rejilla de Snag, que le dan un toque diferente. También podría ponerme unas converse o botas martens negras, pero ni tengo ni creo que pudiese andar con ellas de todos modos. Pero es un vestido comodísimo y hasta tiene bolsillos. De nuevo, comodidad para ir a trabajar y luego hacer unos recados. Pantalón de una liquidación/outlet. Blusa de segunda mano. Chaqueta/chaleco de ganchillo (patrón de Katie Jones). Zapatillas Adidas. Y el habitual bolso de corcho de fineCorkPortugal.

Trees are in full bloom, which means that poplar cotton is flowing everywhere in the riverbank parks. That poplar cotton can look beautiful like snowflakes, but it's actually annoying (and itchy!) so not walks for me these days!.
Los árboles están todos floridos, lo que significa que ya está aquí también la pelusa de los chopos, cubriendo los parques junto al río. Muy bonito de ver, como si hubiese nevado, pero es molestísimo y no se puede andar en medio de las nubes de pelusas (son irritantes!), así que nada de paseos estos días.
