Blooming March

The weather has moved quickly from unseasonably warm to unseasonably hot, as we've reached temperatures of 24-25ºC last days. But I'm taking you to last week, when I was still wearing a coat on Wednesday, even if wore it over a viscose sundress (which has been recently acquired at Vinted). I've worn my last purchases almost immediately, inspired by Vintage Vixen's advice to seize the moment. Nothing better than a sundress to cheer up a busy day at work!.

Dress came from Vinted, citron turtleneck was shopped retail. Necklace was charity shopped, sneakers by Adidas (old), shearling coat was shopped at a second hand boutique (Asos Marketplace) years ago. Scarf came from an artisan fair.
Obviously, I had to wear this dress the next day (repeat offender!). And I went out without a proper coat as the weather was feeling totally springlike. I just changed my turtleneck for a blue one (by LaRedoute, old) and matched my tights to it, easy peasy!. Sensible as I am, I wore my crochet coat which added some warmth (but not too much, so totally weather appropriate!). Colour therapy totally worked and improved my mood!.

I picked some wide legged trousers next day, as it was too hot for tights. Even too hot for that lightweight jacket as soon as sun was high, I had to remove it when coming home for lunch!. It was a sunny day and we went for a walk in the evening and have a beer at a terrace!.
Floral trousers were shopped retail, blouse by CandA (old), lace-crochet vest was made by Mom for me. Adidas sneakers (old) and usual cork bag by Fine Cork Portugal.

I went for my version of a classic outfit on Friday: a striped shirt, jeans and a jacket. Only that my striped shirt was a second hand one that I destroyed and embellished, my jeans were also second hand and I wore a plaid jacket (from a clearance sale, years ago). Shoes are by Camper. I added a vintage neckerchief too.

There was another repeat offender last week, as I wore same jeans for our usual walk and apéro on Saturday morning. It's becoming a tradition to take a photo on that centric square!.

That was my outfit on Monday, when temperatures reached 25 degrees (77Fº), so cotton trousers and a blouse looked like a great idea when we went for a walk on the evening. I carried my crochet cardi, because I know that the temperature usually plummets as soon as the sun sets (it's still March!). We sat on a terrace after our walk and I was perfectly comfortable wrapped in my cardi!

Have a fabulous week!

  1. Thanks for the south-out, Monica!
Funnily enough an identical one to your new to you dress from Vinted keeps popping up in my feed. It looks absolutely wonderful layered up with the crochet coat. LOve both tropical trousers and those jeans with the massive turn-ups are so chic and funky. I'm very envious of your ascending temperatures and to read of beers on the terrace, the best place to imbibe them! xxx

  2. Wow, 24-25°C does sound unseasonably warm indeed! Although not as warm as that, we've been having balmy temperatures as well, but they only last a day or two before plummeting down to coat-wearing temperatures again!
Well done on seizing the moment and wearing that sun dress you found on Vinted. It looks absolutely stunning with the lime green turtleneck and your fabulous crochet vest! A true sight for sore eyes!
The wide-legged floral trousers are gorgeous too, and your embellished second-hand shirt is fantastic. Well done, you! I'm loving those cropped denim trousers, which look very nautical with the red and white Breton top.
Your final outfit is lovely too, a true symphony in blue! Mil besos xxx
