blue sandals & massive bracelets

Sales have been advantageous to me!. I've bought two pairs of sandals, both of them at a heavy discount!. And both of them were made in Spain, which is something to take into account. I've worn my comfy silver sandals almost every day, but these blue ones are taking their time to break in, and my fussy feet need some rest after wearing them. However, I still love them.
I've always saved my money to buy some quality shoes, I think it's the best investment you can make, as shoes last for years if they're well made. So investing in a good pair of shoes that you really love, well, that doesn't look like a frivolous purchase for me.
I've become a reluctant customer, except for shoe shops!. I keep on window shopping and visiting some local designers and retailers, and sometimes I buy a piece or two that would enhance my wardrobe, but my first sources of clothes are second hand flea markets or charities and swaps. I've also been revamping some old clothes, sewing and doing other crafty activities, as you can see. Papier maché is one of the cheaper and more versatile materials you can work with and I've used it to make some massive bracelets. It has been a long time since I made and painted something from scrap, so my skills were a little bit rusty, but I enjoyed it and then I realized how much I've missed it!
Have a fabulous and Visible Monday and, please, send some support to Patti!

You look fabulous. I've gone a bit mad on new shoes lately, too. We have to look after our feet when we lead such adventurous lives, don't we? xxx

  3. Monica, the bracelets are wonderful! I especially like how you have incorporated some three dimensional levels into some of them. The colours and designs are so cool, and they are the perfect summer accessories for your colourful outfits.

I've been looking for stylish and supportive sandals too. I bought one pair at the beginning of the summer by Fly London and wear them at least two or three times a week. I don't mind paying a lot for a pair of shoes if I can wear them all day without pain, and they look good.

  4. Love the blue sandals, which almost exactly match the colour of Sacramento's necklace! Those bangles are fabulous, you are very talented, Monica! I've got fussy feet too and, especially in summer when I don't wear tights, I have my comfortable favourites. It always takes a long time to break in new shoes, and there's really no guarantee, even with more expensive ones. Those tapas are looking delicious, by the way! Besos xxx

  6. You look very cool in that colourful top and comfy blue sandals Monica. But most of all I adore those bangles - how very clever of you. These don't look homemade at all - so bright, so lovely, so on trend - how very creative!
