Red Accents & Winter

This black and white dress was acquired back in the 90's (which means it is practically vintage now!) and I've been wearing it once or twice a year since then. I think it's not a frequently worn dress because it needs ironing, and also because I'm not always in the mood of wearing a bold print in black and white, even if it's one of my favourite colour combos. I love monochrome with some red accents. But last years I've been embracing a more colourful attitude!

- dress, retail (previously worn on March2019 and on Oct2018)/ vestido de una tiendecita
- striped t-shirt CandA (old)/ camiseta rayas
- striped coat, a hand-me-down by a friend who made a clearance / abrigo de rayas, del desván de una amiga que hizo una limpieza
- massive wool scarf, retail (old) / bufamanta, de tienda local
- beret, a present (old) / boina
- short sleeved cardi, Evans (old) / chaquetita de manga corta
- necklace, a present by Sacramento / collar, un regalo de Sacramento
- brooches, made by me / broches, hechos por mí
I wore this same dress for a walk next day. Only that I picked a different coat, black tights instead of red ones and my leopard scarf. Kinda subtle. ;D
- scarf, retail (old) / pañuelo
- bag, Emily The Strange (ages ago) / bolso, de hace siglos
- sneakers, Adidas outlet / zapatillas
- mask by Nonapapallona, local designer! / mascarilla, de Nonapapallona, producto local!

I'm wearing a rubber glove to cover my wristband, to keep things clean, as I use plenty of hand sanitizer.

This is a salad we had for dinner: spinach leaves (I bought them fresh and had to wash them, which is tedious!), tomato, smashed avocado mixed with chopped onion and lemon juice, and a chicken breast sautéed and sliced. Something simple!
Simple y variado!

Hope you're keeping yourselves safe and as fabulous as possible!

  1. It's just gone 7.30am and I'm already drooling over your dinner!
Love that 1990s dress worn with the red and that gorgeous chevron coat. The kids do call 1990s "vintage" which makes me laugh then I remember it was almost thirty years ago!!! xxx

    1. I'm still amazed by people considering 80's as not only vintage but also really Old!. I think that 90's vintage could be hard to find, as it was the time when fast fashion became popular.
      ;D

  3. What a fabulous dress, Monica, although I am definitely hearing you on the ironing :-) A monochrome look with splashes of red is always great, but especially so at this time of year, I think. That chevron coat is to die for, and so is that delicious looking salad! Our temperatures are on the up again, which is a bit of a bore. I want them to go down so that I can wear a certain scarf and beret ;-) Enjoy your weekend! Besos xxx

    1. Lovely to hear that you like this dress and coat. I still consider my chevron coat as too classic and a little bit boring, but I'm realising that it can be jazzed up easily!.
It's never the right weather when one is looking forward to wear something, isn't it?, mwhaha!

  4. I'm wearing black, white and red today, too! We're twins!

Ironing is a bugger but what a lovely dress; I loved it with the little red cardi over it and what a magnificent set of necklaces your wore - talk about statement necklaces! I also love your striped jacket; it always looks so chic and stylish.

Have a lovely weekend and stay safe,

    1. I hate cleaning almost every vegetable, but spinach leaves are specially tedious to clean.

  8. Oooh, that salad looks really delicious.

It's so weird owning stuff that people now call vintage, isn't it? I have a few pieces from the 90s myself. It's strange to think they're older than some of my friends.
