weekend & veggies

It has been a very busy weekend, with visitors at home and some outings too!. On Friday, I went to a nearby town (see here) with some friends, to watch a fashion show by design students, a really interesting show, because every dress is made of veggies. Yes, vegetables!. It's a part of a big event organized yearly in Calahorra to celebrate vegetables, which are a famous local product. I really enjoy this kind of local events!

We had a lovely time on Sunday, visiting another local event at the village of Tricio, which celebrated its past as an important roman city, with a parade which finished at the amazing Basílica (click to see some info!). There was also a little market and lots of food and wine, obviously!.
