joyful tunic & evening walk

Last week I saw this tunic in a shop window and the next moment I was trying it and taking out the credit card. You can call it an impulse purchase, but I felt like 'it has my name written all over it' and never regretted. I believe in fate! (not really, only for illustrative purposes!). This has been a big expense for a small budget like mine and totally out of my plans to reduce consumerism. It's not that I can't afford it, it's that I've been buying mostly second hand and I'd like to keep it this way.
I thought that it will take ages until temperatures drop enough to wear a full sleeves garment, so this tunic was kindly stored. But we have had some chilly evenings and I was in a bad mood, annoyed and tired, so this tunic appeared like the perfect mood booster to improve my attitude. If I was to name my clothes (Sheila rocks it), this would be my joyful tunic for sure!.
Mr. A. took my photos, as usual, when we went for a walk to run errands and then have an 'apéro' and my tunic received some compliments!. Joyful indeed!
Linking Visible Monday and wishing you a visible week!

  1. As soon as I saw the photo of you in this I *knew* it was meant for you. I don't know anyone else that could wear it as well. It represents your love of colour, pattern and Spain. I'd say this is a winner, even if you had to buy it retail. You'll love it for a long time.

  3. I'm not surprised you fell head over heels for this tunic, which is a real work of art with with all the colours and patterns going on. And of course it had your name all over it, so you really had no choice but to buy it ;-) I always have some trepidation when buying retails as well, but shouldn't we be forgiven if it only happens once in a while? 4. Your tunic is fantastic and I agree that it was made for you. These are the occasions - if you do not buy it, you will regret it endlessly. So: Enjoy! Juliane

  5. I am not surprised that this beautiful piece called your name. The shape is lovely, and the colours are so you. The embroidery adds an extra touch of magic to an already fabulous piece. I still buy things retail, from small locally run businesses, but still retail nonetheless. Sometimes a piece just has to come home with you.
