striped duster

It has been a busy weekend, I went out on Friday to visit my parents and came back on Saturday, and then, on Sunday, went for a walk to our local flea market with a friend, before having usual apéritif. I know they don’t look like very exciting activities, but I enjoyed them, the weather was magnificent!
I was a little bit reluctant to buy anything at the flea market, but I did it anyway, and my friend found some interesting pieces too!. Now, another summer dress is hanging out after being washed, and I think it’s going to be revamped into some kind of tunic or shirt.

Last week we had a so really warm weather than I didn’t have to wear any winter coat, I just worn my cardigans, dusters or trenches as outerwear. That’s pretty shocking, it's still March!. Actually, I worn this striped duster twice, as you can see, and both outfits were almost black & white with another bold color as a partner. I like particularly how orange color adds an instant boost to any black & white ensemble, even better with a touch of grey!.
Joining Visible Monday!

  1. Fabulous! Black, white and orange are magnificent together. The orange skirt is wonderful and I liked how you paired it with the striped top - you've given me an idea for my yellow patterned skirt. Love your lizard brooch. I'm so glad you've had nice weather - ours has been peculiar!

The duster coat is very striking and I loved the black and white with red, too. And your many berets and Mary Janes are gorgeous.

  3. I was immediately intrigued by the orange fabric peeping out from under your duster. What a fab skirt. I really couldn't take my eyes from it. Isn't it wonderful to be able to wear lighter coats/jackets. Unfortunately, after a couple of sunny days, we are now back to grey and dismal weather. xxx

  4. Black and white print with a pop of colour is one of my favourite combinations. I like that you've incorporated both horizontal and vertical stripes into the outfit.

  5. I think I'd have enjoyed such a weekend too! We often go without plans, a little bit of antique mall shopping and a nice meal are always great with us! And both of your outfits are so gorgeous - you've really mastered the art of layering, yet every time it's unexpected! Love orange and gray together, and the black and white stripes and florals with a touch of red - gorgeous!
