Spring Coats

Actually, these are some coats I've worn in the winter, but they're light coats so I consider them suitable for shoulder seasons. Particularly because the weather has not been collaborating. We've had cloudy, wet, windy days for a week or so, most of them under 15ºC maximum and some uncomfortable 5ºC in the early morning. It's not that I can't deal with some chilly days, but it's supposedly Spring now.

- sneakers, Adidas outlet (old) / zapatillas
- scarf, old / pañuelo, antigüito
- necklace, Ciclón (old) / collar, Ciclón
- mask, by Nonapapallona / mascarilla, de Nonapapallona
- bag, Emily The Strange (old) / bolso

Whatever the weather, I'm keeping myself busy and improving my mood. I've been reading some favourite books by Terry Pratchett (again), related to having watched the tv series based on them. Obviously, I keep on thinking that 'The Book Was Better', but in my opinion the series The Watch captured the spirit of the books, and made me laugh!. It's less 'medieval fantasy' and more 'steam punk-rock', but I enjoyed.

- raincoat, Seasalt / impermeable

  2. It's supposed to be Spring (May, for God's sake), but I'm still wearing my lighter Winter coats as well. It can still be really chilly in the morning, and under 15°C - we are having the same temps - is far too cold for the time of year.
Your black and white patterned dress with the striped t-shirt layered underneath is very striking, and how well do your trousers and mask match in the second one. Those earrings are absolutely fabulous too!
Love the orange-red cardigan, with the Frida brooch pinned to it, and how gorgeous is Veronica's necklace?
Hopefully we'll be getting proper Spring weather soon! Besos xxx

    1. Thank you, dear Anne, this black and White dress can be 'too much' sometimes, but I still like to wear it once in a while.
I always admire your collection of cardigans in every posible colour, so I'm happy when I find one when thrifting, so I can improve my own collection!

  3. Two absolutely fantastic outfits, I love your trademark colourful, tropical look and the black and whiote creation is utterly wonderful.
We're having similar weather, not so unusual for us, I've been known to wear gloves as late as June but it doesn't make me like it any more! xxx

  4. Your chevron wool coat is stunning - in fact, the whole outfit is just delicious with patterns, colors and details! Not that the coat should be worn in May, we need sun and warmth! Spring was kinda slow here as well, but then just a few sunny warm days - and everything started blooming, even earlier than usual. Odd, huh? Lots of love!

  6. Ugh, the weather this time of year is so changeable! Do I wear a coat? A light jacket? Nothing? Whatever I pick, it's sure to be the wrong thing! I love your maxi dress here, which is totally stealing focus from the jacket.

I adore your trouser outfit - the colours are fantastic. Especially love your earrings and necklace! Have a great weekend, my friend!

    1. It's really difficult to dress up these days, I usually freeze my *#~in the mornings and then I go back home feeling sweaty and miserable. Even the most sensible layering can't be a mistake!
Thanks for your comment, dear Sheila!

  7. Oh such lovely outfits, Monica! I love your black and white maxi and the red scarf is so fab with it; just that lovely pop of colour. I also loved your floral pants with the red tunic and the turquoise top and red cardigan were also pretty fab. Loved all your accessories; especially the Frida brooch and fab turquoise earrings. I have a Frida bag (present) and a Frida tin which I keep make-up in.

I wish the weather would do what it's supposed to - be Spring like!

    Have a great weekend

  8. Our Spring has been like yours so far - we had a few warm days but it's been cold (between 0 and 10 degrees) the past week, and rain every day. The maxi dress is such a bold print - love it!

A friend got me into Pratchett's Disc World series and I've read almost all of the books. So entertaining!

Glad you like this maxi dress, I know you love some graphic prints in black&white.
Totally agree about Disc World, these are some entertaining books with lots of humour and irony.
