bein' green

Do you remember the Kermit's song?. Well, I'm going green in more than one meaning!.
I've bought a green raincoat, which still amazes me as this is not one of my (many) favourite colours. I've been looking for a new raincoat for some time (I always try second hand first, then sustainable options). I was determined not to buy another black coat and, let us admit it, the offering is anything but widely varied. Navy and black, basically, and sometimes grey or soul-sucking beige. So this blueish green looked by far the most appealing choice to me.
I'd love to have a red winter coat or even limegreen or purple or (let me dream) a colourfully printed coat. In My Size (this reaches Unicorn Level!). But anyway it's nice to be green!

- coat, Seasalt (no sponsored, bought it with my own money!) / abrigo, Seasalt (no es un post patrocinado, lo compré con mi dinerito)
- striped pullover, PuntRoma (old) / jersey de rayas
- trousers, clearance sale (old) / pantalón, de una liquidación
- sneakers, Chiruca (old) / zapatillas
- scarf, retail (old) / pañuelo
- bracelets, DayADay (old) / pulseras
- ring, Ciclón / anillo
- necklace, charity market (old) / collar, de un mercadillo solidario
- bag, Fine Cork Portugal / bolso de corcho, marca Fine Cork, Portugal

Showing the trainers/sneakers that I've collected through last years, due to my fussy feet issues and having new orthotics. Glad that I can pick so many colours. All of them were bought at a local retail store that sells outlet sport shoes.
Mi colección de zapatillas, reunidas durante los últimos años, por causa de mis asuntos podológicos y mis nuevas plantillas. Me alegra poder escoger tantos colores. Todas ellas fueron adquiridas en un negocio local que vende outlets de calzado deportivo.

  1. I'm sure it doesn't come as a surprise that I'm loving the colour of your Seasalt rain coat :-) It is true, though, that brightly coloured rain coats are rare as hen's teeth. No wonder people are mostly dressed in dark and drab colours over Winter, as it takes determination to find anything else! Gorgeous pairing of blue and green here. Even your mask coordinates with your outfit. I'm still swooning over your cork bag. I've since discovered there's a shop in Antwerp selling all things cork, including bags, which I'll be checking out once the shops re-open, whenever that will be. They even sell cork face masks! And what a fabulous collection of sneakers! Besos xxx

    1. mwhaha, I know you're a huge fan of green color, so glad that you like this coat.
Actually, it takes determination to find a nor-black-nor-navy coat (even navy looks appealing when you've been searching for a while!). But I think that most people just play it safe, which is one of the worst decisions (concerning fashion).
Wish you luck in your search of cork bags!

  2. That's not a collection of trainers, that's a rainbow of them! What a relief to find well fitting footwear, I don't blame you for buying loads!
I approve of Seasalt as the brothers who started it came from Walsall, they left a lovely comment on my blog once! The coat is a fantastic colour choice and works beautifully with the blues and greens of your outfit. I love that cork bag so much! xxx

    1. Actually, trainers are my everyday shoes by default. Can't walk in anything more!
I think that this is a nice label, and they don't use plastic packaging, just cardboard. I couldn't find anything acceptable here in my neck of the woods, so annoying!
This cork bag is being a total success!

  5. That shade of green is very pretty, and it works so well with the blue parts of your wardrobe. We don't get much rain where I live, but for some reason I have at least a dozen raincoats! Ah well, they're practical even in dry weather.

Love your colourful shoes. I'm looking for a new pair myself.

    1. Glad you like it!.
We don't have lots of rain but Fall and Winter are rainy, foggy and windy (sometimes all together). So raincoats are sensible outerwear. And I also wear them in dry weather!

  6. We have lots of rainy days in the fall and I was looking for a new rain-resistant, warm fall coat last year and all I could find was black. I like the one I ended up buying but I was hoping for something more colourful. This Seasalt coat is a good colour for you.

I admire your sneaker collection; such lovely colours! I am also an admirer your fab collection of coloured Mary-Janes, too.

    Stay safe and take care,

My sneaker collection is growing quickly, but sorry to tell that some many mary-janes had to leave (I can't walk in them anymore!)

  9. I laughed at "soul-sucking beige"! That's totally my opinion too! :) It is so hard to find coats that aren't black or a dark colour and it's so odd, as bright colours are far better in dark months - it gets dark here at 4:30pm right now!

I adore green - lovely outfit!

  10. Great Minds refuse to wear beige ;DD
And I think that some bright colours make a difference in the winter. Outerwear should be fun!
