floral print & autumn

This floral dress was acquired (second hand) on August 2019 and it has been worn many times. I like particularly its viscose knit fabric, a really nice texture that doesn't need ironing. And obviously this is a bright print, which I like, and it goes with many existing items in my wardrobe. There are still lots of possibilities to explore.
As I'm concerned, many summery dresses can be worn the whole year around, when their fabric have enough weight and a nice slippery texture. Even a sundress can be layered over a turtleneck and look nice, but some textures and fabrics don't layer well, so I recommend you to give them a try before. Because comfort is first!.

This vintage magazine has been an inspiration. But I've had to pospone my last crochet project, due to my wrist issues (arthritis). I'm looking forward to work this multicolored yarn, lots of colours in a single ball of wool!

Hope you're keeping yourselves safe and as fabulous as possible!

  1. That floral maxi is a delight, and it would indeed be a shame to hide it away just because Summer's over. In fact, I think its print is perfect to wear layered with Autumnal - but still bright, obviously! - colours. It's looking particularly gorgeous worn with the green turtleneck, coat and mask (!) but I'm loving the navy blue/purple combination and the final one with the orange cardigan too! No boring colours and outfits for the likes of us, eh?
Sorry to hear about your wrist issues! Your latest crochet project is amazing, can't wait to see the result! Besos xxx

  6. What a fabulous and versatile dress. I love it with the green jumper underneath and those lovely cardigans in a fab range of colours. I'm sorry to hear about your arthritic wrist; it must make crocheting very difficult. Hope it improves enough so you can back to the lovely waistcoat project.

    Take care

  7. that dress has wonderful colours in a very pretty print!
and again i´m fascinated by the cardi you made!!
as i live "almost in siberia", summer dresses get packed away in october - heavy wool skirts and scandinavian pullovers are the way to go here :-D
not eating pork and wheat has really helped with my arthritis (in the knees) - its a lot less painful since......
    stay safe and warm! xxxx

    1. Thanks!, you're very kind.
We have a warm climate here in the north of Spain, and winter is short, so I try to take advantage of this and wear most of my wardrobe the whole year.
Thanks for this tip, I've quit eating meat (only poultry) and I'd like to quit wheat too, but I'm addicted to our local bakery's bread. I have to take this seriously anyway.

  9. I love this colour combination! I would keep all my dresses and clothes out all year, except I don't have room for them all!

I love that groovy 60s psychedelic crocheted flower! I found out my mom has a wool stash and asked for a bunch of it so that I can get my crochet hooks out and play with it! I'm inspired by this amazing floral shape - looks very doable!
