blue maxi dresses

We have leaved the bleak midwinter behind us, so there's a spring-like feeling in the air. Even if there are still storms to come through February and March, there are also respite periods and we're having some unseasonably warm days. Up to 16ºC (60ºF). So obviously, I've managed to get a cold!.
Anyway, I've kept dressing up and determined to enjoy it, wearing what I have in my wardrobe. So I've picked some summer maxi dresses to wear these days, as they are pretty comfortable, easy to layer and make me feel into an springy mood. Floral prints are not going to heal me, but make me feel more spirited despite having a red nose and watery eyes.
Linking Visible Monday and wishing you a visible week and a slow fashion season.

  2. We haven't had any real winter weather yet, but at this point I hope it stays away altogether. I'm definitely ready for Spring! Winterizing your Summer maxis by adding layers is a great idea to get more wear out of them, and layering is something you do so well, Monica! I've always admired that navy maxi of yours, and you manage to make it look even better with the striped t-shirt underneath and the denim jacket on top. The orange floral scarf adds an additional pop of colour. I'm also loving your floral maxi worn with the red turtleneck, tights and beret. And how cute is that brooch you pinned to your crochet cardie? Besos xxx

  3. A hearty YES to wearing florals and bright colours when one is ill or the weather is being icky! I love blues and oranges together, and that first outfit just raises my spirits. You look chic and elegant in your floral maxi, Monica.

I hope you feel better soon - the colds and illnesses this time of year somehow feel worse when the weather is so dreary!

  4. Very pretty dress! I love your check coat too. The weather here in the UK is dreadful, so cold and windy. I can't wait for Spring!

  5. I'm so glad you're getting bits of warmth in between!

I love your maxi dresses and have just bought (oops!) a new to me one that is similar to your floral one. Bright colours and lovely patterns do cheer one up so I know exactly what you mean. I loved all your accessories - especially the berets; your fab scarves and that lovely crochet cardigan.

Hope your cold clears up and that you have a great week.

  7. What a great feature on the joys of layering up for the winter. You've managed to maintain your love of colour and still showcase these dresses in winter styling. Lots of joyful pops of colour with your jewellery too Monica xxx
