seaside inspiration

This is what I wore to go to work on my first day after holidays and, as you can see, there was still some seaside inspiration on my mind. So I picked this 80's coral-like necklace, a present by Sacramento, and my trusty beach bag which I've noticed is quite faded (so sad!). Even my Frida brooch is embellished with some starfishes. I also painted my toenails in a fav color which is called 'Bikini Party', isn't it funny?.
I'm still wearing sandals when weather permits, however these moments are becoming scarce. Even if I like to keep on wearing my summery gear as long as possible, I've already stored most of my 'heatwave clothes' and I'm ready to let my sandals go until springtime. I don't do a massive switchover between seasons, as I think it's better a more gradual adaptation in our four-seasons climate. Anyway, it's time to make some clearance too!
Linking Visible Monday and wishing you a visible week.

  3. The starfish bag is my favourite bag of yours and I'm so sorry it's fading.

You look very summery and I just love the colour combination of red, black and turquoise. The coral necklace is awesome, the bangles beautifully chime with the colour scheme and I love your Frida brooch.

I'm clinging on to some of my summer wear still!

Hope you have a great week.

  4. Such a fabulous outfit! I love the starfish accents on the bag and brooch. The turquoise goes so well with the pink and red!

My closet swap-over is done - although we have four defined seasons here, I have too many clothes! I need to pack those warm/hot-weather clothes and shoes away to make room for all my fall/winter stuff.

  5. I love how you're taking the seaside with you on your first day back at work! Your pick-me-up combination of red and turquoise is delightful, and your starfish bag is looking even better with age. Your Frida brooch and that lovely necklace finish your outfit perfectly! Like Sheila, I have too many clothes to leave them all out, so I'm doing a seasonal switch, which is the perfect opportunity to do a cull as well. Besos xxx

  6. I like the starfish theme in your accessories. I haven't done my closet switchover yet - it has been warm in the daytime, but now it's chilly at night and in the morning. Dressing for work has been a challenge!
