blues & tweed

I've been wearing this pre-loved tweed jacket over some blue dresses, because it's an easy color combo and I'm feeling pretty uninspired. So I've realized that blue have found a way into my wardrobe, even if never considered it as a favorite. Actually, navy was one of my less favorite colors for ages. I always looked at navy with disdain, a color which pretends to be black and fails miserably. I know that I have some strong (but strange) ideas about colors!.
However, I've learnt to appreciate navy and most shades of blue, particularly jewel tones which tickle my fancy!. I'm embracing the blues!

  2. I think our ideas about colour are very interesting. To me that means you probably had a bad association with navy in the past. I hate white because I had to wear it for years in a job I hated.

I love the blues on you now.

  3. Funny that you mention your aversion for navy, as I had the same thing for many years. I associated this with school uniforms, which are mostly navy around here. And the funny thing is I didn't even have to wear uniform at my school! Your navy maxi dress with its fabulous beaded yoke is gorgeous on you, and very chic topped with that tweed jacket! I can't think of a single colour I have an aversion for these days, even the dreaded beige sometimes makes it into my wardrobe. In moderation, obviously! Besos xxx

    1. mwhaha, I had to wear uniform at my school and it was navy. I think it's one of the reasons I didn't wear navy for ages. Same thing happened with white shirts!

  4. I've never been a fan of navy blue either but that jacket looks wonderful with those other shades of blue. I really like the tweed with the Asian-looking maxi, a fabulous culture clash! xxx
