market & rain

These pictures were taken before we went out for holiday. It was a rainy day, which has become a rarity. We still haven't had real autumn weather, so drought continues to be a problem.
We were buying groceries, as we do almost every Saturday morning, so local market looked like an appropriate background to take some pictures. It was a quiet morning at the market, so there were not people staring at us, and we seized the opportunity!. I'm not used to plan this kind of things!

As Vix says A day without dressing up is a day wasted!, so I've felt very inspired to share more outfits: this is what I worn to go to work last Friday. Office appropriate.
I'm still wearing lots of my summer clothes, as it's not really cold, so some light layering is enough to keep me comfortable. This outfit felt like wearing my pyjamas, actually!

  1. We've had a couple of days of non stop rain this week and they've forecasted even worse for the week to come! I should send some of our rain over to you! I'm loving your you-made tunic and the sky blue Doc Martens. Your fuchsia trousers look super comfortable and are a perfect match with your turtleneck. I'm loving the brooch too! Vix is right isn't she, dressing up makes us feel better too! Besos xxx

  4. You are very clever, Monica! You've made a beautiful tunic and turned a dress into a shirt; I can do neither but I can crochet a beret... I love your blue paisley patterned top under the wonderful tunic. The pink jacket looks fabulous with the fuchsia trousers and oh the bird brooch is absolutely gorgeous! The beret with flower on it is also lovely and it gives the beret a very different look - one I might steal if you don't mind!

  5. Oh please do share more of your outfits! They are always so fun, uplifting, creative and HAPPY!!! I love your turquoise and purple outfit - the you-made tunic is great, the pants and boots are beautiful! And both you and Vix inspire me to go to market more frequently. We only have a local market for 5 or 6 months a year, but when it opens next Spring, I want to visit! Maybe we also can form a new tradition in our family! <3

  6. The tunic and the trousers of your market outfit are both individually lovely, but together they are even better! I love your work outfit, too; so bright!
