black jeans & jacket

These days I didn't feel very inspired, I think that my winter mojo is out of training!
I'm not used to wear black jeans anymore, but I still keep this old pair in my closet. They're a high waist pair of pants, and I calculate that they're (at least) fifteen years old. I remember that I fitted them and added those zips on their legs. I've decided that I'm not going to keep them anymore, as I find hard to style them and I don't feel that they add any fabulousness to my wardrobe. So that's their last bow!
In the other hand, this teal blouse was made from a dress and it has found its place in my wardrobe. The embroidered details were the best part and I think they're enhanced now!. Glad that I made this revamp!

Estos días no me he sentido muy inspirada, me parece que estoy desentrenada en adaptarme a la temporada invernal.
Ya no suelo llevar vaqueros negros, pero sigo conservando este par viejo en mi armario. Son de cintura alta y he calculado que tienen (por lo menos) quince años. Recuerdo que les hice ajustes, los estreché y les cosí esas cremalleras al final de la pierna. No creo que los vaya a seguir guardando más, encuentro difícil incorporarlos a mi estilo, y tampoco siento que me añadan nada fabuloso. Así que este es su último saludo!
Por otro lado, esta blusa azul-pato era antes un vestido, y ha encontrado su lugar en mi armario. Los detalles bordados eran la mejor parte del vestido, y creo que ahora se ven más destacados. Me alegra haber hecho esta renovación!

colorful tunic & cold

The coats season is here to stay and that means loads of black everywhere. Even if I also wear a black coat sometimes, I still don't give up to the black uniformity. This time I've worn a new tunic and turquoise pants, a quite summery combo with some layering for comfort.
Anyway, I think that anybody could add a personal touch to a black coat, wearing a pair of bold shoes, a beautifully printed scarf or a cool hat, if you don't want to embrace a totally colorful style!


Ya estamos de lleno en la temporada de abrigos, y eso significa montones de color negro por todas partes. Aunque yo también llevo un abrigo negro algunas veces, tampoco me rindo ante la uniformidad del negro y me gusta llevar algo diferente. Esta vez me he puesto esta nueva túnica y unos pantalones turquesa, un conjunto bastante veraniego, pero con unas cuantas capas más.
De todos modos, creo que un par de zapatos originales, un pañuelo con un estampado vistoso, un sombrero chulo, pueden añadirle un toque personal al típico abrigo negro, si es que el estilo tecnicolor no es lo tuyo!

green dress & autumn colors

It has not been my best week, as I get a cold, then had to stay at home for some days and felt quite miserable. Yesterday it was cold and rainy, but sun has shined today finally, even if it's still cold (it snowed on the nearby mountains). Autumn was behaving very nicely until last days.
I worn this new dress some days ago. It was bought in June at Spitalfields Market, when we visited London, and it was storaged in my wardrobe waiting for colder weather, as it's made of a thick cotton fabric, very consistent and well made. It even has pockets!. I don't know why I bought a green and brown dress, as these are not usually my favorite colors, but I think that adding some unexpected colors could make my wardrobe more interesting!

No he tenido una semana muy buena, he tenido un resfriado, así que tuve que quedarme en casa unos días y sintiéndome bastante pocha. Ayer hizo frío y estuvo lloviendo un montón, pero al final ha salido el sol esta tarde al final, aunque sigue haciendo frío. El otoño se estaba portando muy bien hasta hace unos días.
He estrenado este vestido, que compré en Junio cuando estuve en Londres, en el famoso mercado de Spitalfields, y se había quedado guardado en el armario, esperando tiempos más frescos, porque es de una tela de algodón gruesa, muy consistente y bien hecho. Si hasta tiene bolsillos!. No sé porqué me compré un vestido verde y marrón, que son colores que normalmente no son de mis favoritos, pero creo que estos colores sorprendentes podrían darle un poco más de vidilla a mi estilo.

I've been working on a new sewing project, which I call my 'frankenstein dress'. Mr.A. says it's simply ugly, but I have become fond of it, as it's kinda kitschy fun. What do you think?

He estado entretenida en otro proyecto de costura, que llamo mi 'vestido frankenstein'. Mr.A. dice que es simplemente feo sin remedio, pero yo le he tomado cariño, me parece de un estilo kitsch entrañable. ¿Qué pensáis?

orange & autumn

Some days ago, I took this pictures, when we were coming home from the airport and enjoying the pretty colors of the wineyards. There was some snow on the nearby mountains too!. These pictures don't do justice to real landscapes, as reds, oranges and yellows are very intense and they look amazing when sunshine enhances everything!.
I've been wearing a lot of orange color these days, not only because it's one of my (many) favorite colors, but also because Autumn landscapes are like a burning flame of oranges and yellows!, so inspiring!.
It was a busy week, as I went back to work and it was necessary to do some laundry and fill our fridge with fresh vegetables, after our journey. So I'm planning a quiet weekend!

Hace unos días que tomé estas fotos, cuando volvíamos a casa desde el aeropuerto, disfrutando de todos esos colores de las viñas en otoño. También había nieve en las montañas del fondo!. Las fotos no le hacen justicia al paisaje, de verdad, los rojos, naranjas y amarillos son más intensos y son increíbles cuando sale un poco el sol y lo ilumina todo.
De alguna manera esto me ha inspirado a llevar más color naranja, no sólo porque es uno de mis (muchos) colores favoritos, sino también porque estos paisajes otoñales son como una llamarada de naranja y amarillo!
Ha sido una semana muy ocupada, he vuelto al trabajo, y, después del viaje, hemos tenido que lavar ropa a montones y llenar el frigo con alimentos frescos. Vida Real Total. Así que he planeado un fin de semana tranquilísimo.
