Urban Walks

My staycation during Easter holiday has been a properly relaxed time, without a computer nor mobile phone (I've kept it connected just in case they call me for my vaccine appointment, fingers crossed!). Lots of reading, crocheting, walking and enjoying our usual quiet life. Even quieter these days as many people have run away to their second homes, country cottages, wherever. We made the most of the peaceful city, having plenty of space for ourselves, so we payed a visit to the city centre and run some errands.

- trousers, sewed by me / pantalón, costura casera
- yellow bag, retail (old) / bolso amarillo
- pendant, a present / colgante, un regalo
The weather has been really warm, so I went barelegged (and even wore sandals!), 15-20ºC most days. Obviously, this is my opinion, as I spyed some people wearing puff coats.
However, wearing summery clothes means that we have to keep ourselves on the gravel paths, as nettles and bramble grow wild around the river banks, invading some trails. But there are also lots of daisies and dandelions and even horse chestnut flowers blooming in our lovely urban walks.

- trousers, old (shortened) / pantalón viejo, acortado por mí
- tunic, sewed by me years ago / túnica, costura casera de hace años
- sneakers, Nike outlet (old) / zapatillas
- mask, by Nonapapallona / mascarilla de Nonapapallona
Hope you're safe and keeping yourselves fabulous!

  1. We have just gone into another 4 week "Stay at Home" lockdown so if feels like my whole life has been one big Staycation the past year, except that I've been working. Love the striped long jacket with those cool pants - very urban chic!

    1. Dear Shelley, having to stay at home was not so bad when I was not working!, I even made the most of it and read a lot. Nowadays, I'm working full time and staying at home, so I try to spend outside as much time as posible, I have computer fatigue!
      Thanks for your comment!

  2. I'm glad to hear you had a relaxing Easter break, enjoying your usual quiet life. And so many people being away you had the city and riverbank paths practically to yourselves. I love the outfit you wore to run your errands. Those groovy trousers look very sophisticated worn the striped duster, and I'm loving the pop of pale yellow from your straw bag. Stunning pendant too!
You were very brave to go bare-legged wearing those shortened trousers. The sewn-by-you tunic is fabulous too.
It really does seem that Spring has arrived in your corner of the world, Monica! Besos xxx

    1. It has been lovely to have the city to ourselves, and it's also strange as I usually love a lively and busy city lifestyle.
Glad that these trousers look cool, I think that my striped duster makes a difference!, a favourite piece!
I'm not very sensible actually, as I tend to wear sandals too early. Now we have 3ºC in the morning, so no sandals for a while!

    1. Even if I could wear sandals for a while, the weather is now really chilly, 3ºC in the morning and it even snowed on the nearby mountains. But I keep sandals on hand!

  8. How clever of you to sew your own trousers Monica! I'm a novice sewer but do like the idea of making my own clothes - well, that's if I ever get the time xx
