spring in winter

We're having some unseasonably warm days, a springlike weather, even if there's still plenty more winter to come. Winter is not my favourite season, but I prefer to have a proper winter and deal with sleet and frozen fog, instead of having to deal with multiple seasons in a week. This kind of weather usually annoys me and causes me headaches.
Anyway, I've been going for a walk almost everyday, and taking photos when possible. I think that creating a routine and dressing up everyday is making me feel better. Colour therapy is working too. Totally recommend it!.

Some food I've cooked recently: a butternut squash soup and baked codfish for lunch.
Some mussels in a tomato sauce and a toast with harissa, goat cheese and sautéed peppers on top.
Our usual Saturday lunch, a seafood casserole, fideuá. And a salad with homemade anchovies in vinegar or boquerones, as a side dish.
Algunas comidas y cenas que he hecho últimamente.
- raincoat, Seasalt / abrigo impermeable
- pullover, second hand, Sunday street market (previously) / jersey, de segunda mano del mercadillo del domingo
- viscose skirt, my last (second hand) purchase at the Sunday street market (now closed) / falda de viscosa, mi última adquisición en el mercadillo del domingo (ahora cerrado)
- sneakers, Nike outlet (old) / zapatillas

  1. your colour therapie even works over the internet! instant good mood after seeing your fabulous outfits!
love them all - but the tartan mini and flowery tunic combo is the most surprising - trés chic - and gorgeous coral necklace!
can i come over for some mussels or seafood casserole please? all your dishes look very inviting.....
creating a routine and sticking to it is the best one can do in challenging times - thankfully my household reclaimes routines anyway the outer world is running: a cat will have her food, love and hygiene; in winter the tiled oven has to get heated and cleaned 2 times a day; human food needs to be cooked from fresh ingediences; in summer the garden wants daily care...... this all has kept me sane over more then this pandemic.
those balconies are the most beautiful i´ve ever seen!
    stay safe! xxxxx

    1. lovely comment, dear Beate!, and you would be welcome for dinner or lunch or whatever!
Totally agree that sticking to a routine is the best we can do, and mine include dressing up to go groceries shopping (almost) everyday, as our walk to the market is the only event in my life!.
I'm glad that internet is keeping me entertained too!

  2. Although we haven't had a proper Winter so far, it's been a grey and wet one. On sunny days, however, you can feel Spring is on its way. Multiple seasons in a week indeed, sometimes even in one day!
My routine often goes overboard but colour therapy is a constant. Your first outfit is utterly fabulous! The pinks work so well with the royal blues. What a lovely mask, by the way!
Your second, green based outfit is gorgeous too, but my heart truly sang when I spotted your final one. The tunic worn over the tartan mini is absolutely delightful, and I'm positively swooning over that necklace!
And food is certainly plentiful and delicious looking in the Allnut household :-) Besos xxx

    1. We've already crossed the midwinter frontier, so Spring is coming!. Even if there are some cold and wet days to come. But I have some colourful umbrellas!.
Glad that you like my tartan mini. It's another skirt that I found in the bottom of my wardrobe. I'm planning to wear it in different ensembles.
And we're huge fans of cooking, really gourmands!

  3. You're really experiencing the weather extremes! At least you have a beautiful wardrobe for whatever the weather throws.
Your cooking always looks so good. I don't do anything creative with seafood, but yours looks like it could be in a fancy cookbook.
Have a good week and stay safe and well.

    1. We're having record temperatures both cold and hot, totally into the global warming symptoms.
And love that you consider my food creative, a great compliment coming from you!. These are just traditional dishes in the mediterranean cuisine. And they're also easy and tasty!

  4. I agree with Beate, I'm much happier after seeing you in your colourful outfits and spectacular backdrop. Those windows are absolutely fabulous.
I don't know which outfit I love the most, the green Nordic look, the regal purple or the rockstar pink!
Jon wants to know if he can come over for dinner. He loves looking at your food as much as I do. I'd kill for some of that goats cheese with harisa and peppers right now.
Enjoy the warmth, we've got a mild day today and I'm loving it! xxx

Jon and you would be welcome to my home (indeed!). I'm not a really great cook, so glad to hear that my toasts look appealing to you!. I'm becoming a huge fan of harisa and cheese!

  5. The food looks delicious, Monica! Lots of fish and vegetables which I love. I also love your outfits; so colourful. The pink and navy ensemble was my favourite; closely followed by the fab tunic and miniskirt. I adore that coral and shell necklace. Loved seeing you in green and blue, too - sea colours!

Hope your weather has settled - we have more snow on the way, yuk!
