my christmas sweater

I've worn this sweater a few times but haven't been able to take a picture of it until last (long) weekend. Obviously, I had to wear it in Halloween, but I'm also going to wear it as my official (Nightmare Before) Christmas sweater. And probably I'll keep on wearing it during the whole winter season. (Christmas, she wrote!!)
This sweater was bought (months ago) at Eme, a local designer, and then I replaced its hem with lace and open the seams to make it more flattering for me (the designer was ok with this, she's very kind). As I decided to stop buying clothes, particularly new clothes, this last purchase was my milestone. Not a bad farewell!
On another note, this umbrella, which was one of my favourites, was stolen in a café when I was distracted. And it was raining cats and dogs. This story has not a moral, except that you have to keep an eye on your umbrella!

Además, estaba lloviendo a cántaros.

- booties, Treksta outlet (last winter) / botitas, del invierno pasado

- brooch, charity shop / broche, de tienda solidaria
- beret, ages ago / boina, de hace siglos

  3. Love the sweater and how you customized it with the lacy hem. Those plaid print leggings are fab! Good to see you wearing one of your berets again. I've unearthed mine too. They are one of the things it's worth having cold weather for. I'm sorry you lost one of your favourite umbrellas ... Besos xxx

  5. It's such a cute jumper, Monica! I love the addition of the lace hem and the pink check leggings are fab. What a shame about your brolly - some people have no shame!

You're the second blogger I've read today who says they're not buying new clothes anymore.

Hope your week is going well.

  6. What is the world coming to when you can't even leave your umbrella unattended? Ugh.

The sweater is fun. Nightmare before Christmas is one of my all time favourite movies, that and Up!

  9. That is the best Christmas sweater! I am so sorry that someone swiped your umbrella. It seems that people will take anything that isn't nailed down!
