five shades of tweed

This is the fifth time that I wear this tweed suit in a similar color combo, turquoise, blue and black. Obviously, this is one of the reasons why this second hand suit was a lucky find, its colors match most of my clothes (it's well known that I love turquoise!). On the other hand, I feel that picking something that matches is predictable, that there's no challenge in it.
So I think that many other ensembles could be created, adding some mustard or tan shades perhaps. Actually, I'm trying to restyle this suit as many times as possible, to display how versatile a (classic) second hand piece can be, whatever your style!.
Linking Visible Monday and wishing you a fabulously visible week!

  3. Lovely outfit. The tweed jacket is fab! I loved the mixtures of textures and patterns and the cool blue tones. I think you could wear any colour with the tweed suit; I can't think of one that wouldn't go. It was definitely a brilliant find.

    Have a good week

  4. This will turn out to be the most versatile buy ever, Monica! I love how you've wearing the jacket with jeans and that lovely tunic. I'm sure you can wear it with lots of colour. Mustard would be nice, and I'm thinking a strong, fuchsia pink too. Besos xxx

  5. I couldn't agree more about classic vintage pieces being work horses in the wardrobe. The quality is there, unlike what you buy now.

I consider tweeds like this neutral. They work with everything.

  6. That is a lovely suiting piece - I so agree, it's such fun to restyle older items and make them work in different ways! You look amazing in turquoise! I am fond of yellow, orange, tan, rust, red...all the autumn tones with aqua. Is there anything it doesn't go with?

  9. That jacket could go with any colour! Your outfits are always a wonderful mix of colours and patterns but the ones with various shades of blues are my favourite. The typewriter brooch is very cool.
