weekend markets & art

It has been a good weekend, despite of the wind and chill, as I've felt that I made the most of my time and that's a very rewarding feeling!. I went to the annual market of local designers (at the contemporary art museum), which was amazing and I enjoyed all the creative art work, on clothes, pictures, shoes, dishes... and enjoyed also the interesting background. (I visited it previously, in the summer). I didn't buy anything, but took some cards from sellers, so I can buy their products anytime I want to.
Next day, I payed my usual visit to a local charity shop, and I also went to the flea market on Sunday, which was not so packed than it's used to be, probably because of the windy and rainy weather. So there were lots of opportunities to buy things, that I didn't seize. Obviously, that's because I didn't find anything really appealing, but also because I have not felt like shopping anything these days. Actually, I dislike so much the christmas shopping frenzy that you'll not see me shopping until next year!.

Linking Visible Monday and Fake It Until You Make It
Have a nice week and enjoy whatever you do!

  1. I hate shopping at this time of the year too. I choose to make my Christmas gifts for the most part. It is funny how the frenzy towards Christmas has turned many people off of shopping altogether.

Love all your warm colours here.

Hope you have a wonderful holiday season!

PS thanks for fixing the blog so I can comment again : )

  2. I grit my teeth and shop for others - I far prefer shopping for myself. I can't wait to go back to my usual thrifting. Loving that long red striped skirt - so elegant!

A very Happy Holidays to you!

  3. The town centres are terrible at this time of year, I'm doing my best to avoid the madness, too!
I absolutely love your outfit, the cosy but glam sheepskin and that fabulously bold maxi are wonderful as is your crochet hat and that stunning cuff! x

  4. The designer's market looks really interesting. I'm surprised you were able to resist ... It's madness in Antwerp right now, with all the frenzied x-mas shopping going on. Not my cup of tea either, especially as I don't like crowds! You're looking warm and cozy, and very colourful, of course. That's the way to go. I'm totally in love with that divine maxi! xxx

  5. We have a few small Christmas markets that feature handcrafted items from local artists, and I will often go just to look, but I didn't even do that this year. My friends and I don't exchange gifts and I have no interest in buying any more stuff for me.
I hope you have a lovely Christmas Monica!

  6. You look wonderful. I shop online if possible as shops get so horrible at this time of year. Hope you have a great day xx

  7. I covet your beautiful shearling coat dear Monica. Yours looks so cosy and perfect for this time of year. I understand your lack of enthusiasm for shopping currently. I hate the rush of Christmas crowds as it all starts to seem so very obscene how much we fritter away in the name of Christ. The message of Christmas is somehow lost in the pressure to buy don't you think?

I do hope you have a wonderful Christmas and look forward to catching up with you again in the New Year x

  8. Sounds like a wonderful event! I love your red skirt and crochet beret!
I also don't participate in shopping frenzy, but I never do anyway, so Xmas time is no different to me. I much prefer online shopping (even with some risks involved). :) But it's a fun time of year because of such a high joyful energy around.
    Lots of love!
