when in doubt, wear a fav dress

I've been wearing some favorite dresses which had been neglected, like this floral dress which was 'resting' since Feb2015. Big florals are still a thing (as far as I'm concerned)!
As we've leaved the bleak midwinter behind us, I've felt a little bored of my actual wardrobe and thought that some other clothes deserve an opportunity to go out for a walk. There's something new in the (still chilly) air. So I'm ready to turn my wardrobe around for the first time this year, even if the weather is not spring-like anyway. But I like to dance to my own rythm and, actually, spring is coming!.

(You could find some inspiration at Beating The Winter Blues, which shares some useful tips!)

- dress, Asos (very old, Nov2011) / vestido, antigüito ya, del Nov2011
- bolero/cardi, Evans (old) / chaquetita bolero
- tights, El Corte Inglés / medias
- boots, Clarks (studs added by me) / botas, de Clarks, con un añadido de tachuelas
- beret, a present by fab Citizen Rosebud / boina, un regalo de la estupenda Citizen Rosebud
- turtleneck, La Redoute (old) / cuello vuelto
- coat, retail (sales) / abrigo, de rebajas
- bag, by Nonapapallona / bolso
- bracelets, Sfera (old) and charity market / pulseras, del Sfera (antigüita) y de mercadillo solidario.

  2. Wearing a favourite dress is a perfect way to lift the spirits. I love all florals, big or small, and your dress is fabulous and indeed very Spring like. It's perfect with the little bolero on top. You are so right, in spite of the fact that it's still cold (and getting to be quite colder here in the next days), it's clear that Spring is on its way. 3. That is a lovely dress - I do love florals.

You have styled it beautifully with the red cardigan over it and jumper underneath and your lovely red beret. You look like Spring in person! Bet you needed that snuggly coat, though!

    Have a fab weekend.

  4. I remember in Hobart Tasmania where the summers are cold they wear summer dresses with long sleeves underneath. We need to feel our "Summer"!
I too delve into my warmer weather gear in the last days of Winter. Can't do that in reverse though!
Great styling in this outfit. xo Jazzy Jack

  5. Funny enough I just rediscovered a box of clothing that I'd put away for winter. Ummm...yeah...it's almost spring! I'm happy because that is where all of my favourite blouses were hiding. You have too much clothing when...

I'm a fan of florals, big or small any old time of the year. The dress is bright and fun, I'm glad you rediscovered it.

  6. I really like the way you've mixed this very flirty floral dress with black layers and kick ass boots! It is feeling like Spring here too - the snow is almost gone, the songbirds have been singing like crazy - but as it's only February I don't want to get tooooo optimistic!

  7. Great layering! I love the big, splashy floral pattern and, as always, your colour combining skills! We had hail today which is yucky but it is a sign of spring. I'll take all of the signs I can get. xoxo
