Winter & Knits

Another freezy mornings week, which means that Winter refuses to go. However days are longer and sunny spells are more frequent. I've mentioned previously that spring is not my favourite season, but feel compelled to enjoy it because so many people look happy when temperatures rise and trees bloom. I do love the blooming almond trees and cherry trees, indeed. But I also have to deal with asthenia (which is a seasonal affective disorder) that makes my experience of spring a little bit 'different'. Anyway, I'm managing it, totally a first world problem. But I'm keeping myself away from computer after work, so neglecting my blogging and commenting (again). I'll be back to business as usual (inconsistent posting included) soon!

Monday was another freezy day, but I tried my best to keep my mood wearing some colours and accessories. Also determined to squeeze my Real Winter Capsule because spring is coming, despite these last cold days. So I picked this wool skirt (Escada, second hand), which is one of my favourite winter clothes, it's comfy and stylish (in my opinion) and makes me feel like a million bucks. And I wore it next day too, in a different style.
Black jacket, so old it has become vintage. Striped pullover, PuntRoma (old). Coat was shopped retail, label Sophiacurvy. Black tights by Snag. Sneakers by Adidas (outlet). Vintage necklace was a present by Sacramento years ago. Brooches made by me (epoxy resin over small pieces of maps). Earrings shopped retail at Eme.

Next day I rewore same skirt but created a different vibe (tried it at least). That pullover was a second hand find, and I wear it frequently with this same cardi-thing over it. Tights by Snag (favourite colour!) and Shoes by Camper. I took a sneaky photo at the office, wearing that fleece I usually put on when going to the archives room. Glamourous life.

I was looking forward to wearing the waistcoat that was jazzed up by local designer Ramonak Workshop. Finally I made do with some crap photos, as my plans to go for a walk with a friend and ask her to take photos were frustrated. Next time!
Skirt was a present by Fabulous Vix. Shearling coat, second hand at Asos Marketplace boutique Bich. Striped t-shirt, CandA (old). Shoes by Camper. Necklace by a local artisan.

Zapatos Camper. Collar de una artesana local.
Fancy Friday!. This 'faux dress' is actually a top and skirt, but started its life as a second hand dress. It's a comfy 'suit' with a bold print wich are both qualities I enjoy. I wore my crochet cardi-thing, made by me. Sneakers by Adidas outlet. Scarf and gloves were both retail shopped but in different occasions. Crochet beret. Usual cork bag by Fine Cork Portugal. Coat as before.

Saturday was a repeat of the previous one, so photos were taken in same places. Repeat offenders as we are, we ran errands and then had our usual apéro time. If you've noticed that these typical streets are not crowded is because we're early birds!. Usually most people enjoy their vermú after 13,30h and most bars are full until 15h or later. Spanish timetable can be a cultural shock!

Dress by Asos (ages ago). Coat was shopped retail, years ago. Tights by Snag (Duo Shack). Shoes by Camper. Massive scarf/shawl was acquired some years ago at Eme and wore it a lot of times every winter since then.

Some pictures from a nearby village that Mr.A. payed a visit last week. Still snowy!
Have a fabulous week!

  1. I'm sorry your Asthenia is ruining your enjoyment of Spring - when it finally arrives ... Winter is really dragging its feet here as well.
I'm pleased to see that none of it is affecting your marvellous sense of colour and pattern, so that we can keep enjoying your fabulous outfits, whatever the season or weather.
I'm swooning over the earrings in your first outfit, and cannot wait to have a proper look at your jazzed up waistcoat. The faux dress is my favourite this time!
Loving that photo of you enjoying your apéro, and Mr. A's snowy photos! Besos xxx

  2. I love that you keep and wear your clothes year in year out. I do too, in fact I bought a cardigan new in 1994 and paid £40 for it, I still have it, still love and wear it. So it was worth the high price( for me I never have paid a lot for clothes).

  3. I'm sorry about the allergies and whilst most people are excited about blooms and blossom you're suffering.
That Escada skirt is fabulous and it's good to see that purple skirt again, still looking good after all these years.
Mr A's photos are wonderful and I love the one of you enjoying wine and tapas, I wish I was there with you! xxx

  4. Lovely winter clothes and I loved the colours; turquoise, red, pink, purple, and black and white - fabulous. The Escada skirt was a brilliant find and it looks lovely on you. Love the pimped waistcoat with the skirt and how cute is that rose spattered dress in the final outfit photo? Hope you don't suffer too much in the Spring; at least it will be good to say goodbye to freezy mornings. Love Mr.A's photos of the snow covered village although it made me shiver...
