Winter Is For Colours

I started my week wearing neutrals!. Navy trousers are not in my 'favourite pieces' cathegory, but these ones were a bargain at a clearance sale and they're made of pure wool. Perfect for a below zero morning. They're also unlined, so I haven't worn them in ages (itchy!) until I layered them over pettipants ;DD Not glamourous and granny style lingerie, but so practical!.
I also layered a crochet cardi-thing (shopped retail, not made by me!) over that pre-loved pullover. It was a comfortable outfit!. Shoes by Camper. Shearling coat was purchased (second hand) at Asos Marketplace boutique Bich.

It has been a really quiet week, I just met a friend for a coffee, went for usual walks in the city parks (almost) every evening, and crocheted meanwhile watching series. My life is really wild!.
We've been watching 'Only Murders in the Building' (2nd season) so my crocheting was extra-slow. So thrilling!. I'm a huge fan of whodounits, but also loved the dramatic comedy, the beautiful design and decoration and those fabulous drawings in the opening credits.
I started this crochet project years ago and then abandoned it. I've recently restarted, but still haven't determined if it's going to be a waistcoat or a pullover. Which one could be more versatile?. It's a good thing that every flower can be individually moved and placed wherever I want.

Tuesday was another freezy day so I rewore same trousers, and added a tweed jacket (charity shopped). Turquoise t-shirt came from Sunday street market (second hand too!). Scarf, retail. Usual cork bag by Fine Cork Portugal

I went for a more colourful style next days, particularly because I was looking forward to wearing this new-to-me fuchsia jacket. My finds at Sunday street market have been meagre last weeks, tattered cheap knits and worn out puff coats don't tickle my fancy, no quality nor colour. I think it's time to go back to charities, they usually have a more curated selection.
Dress came from eBay (second hand) years ago, boots DrMartens (old) and coat by Seasalt (last year). Scarf by a fav retail shop Eme

We went for a walk, ran errands and have our usual apéro. Business as usual!. I rewore same dress with different accessories and a different coat (puff coat by LaRedoute, ages ago). New sneakers by Adidas (free voucher!) and self-sewed bag, made of some tablecloth leftovers.

Spring is coming and storks are coming too!
Have a fabulous week!

  2. Ah! Love the storks on their 'cartwheels'!

Wool trousers sound just right for the cold weather; I'd wear thick tights underneath to stop them itching. I love your new fuchsia jacket; it's perfect with the colourful dress and the fab pink scarf. I also loved your jumper; what lovely subtle shades of blue and green. All your outfits were fab as always and beautifully layered and accessorised. Love that bag made from oil cloth.

Your crochet project will be beautiful whatever you decide it will be. I had one of those 'remember this' photos pop up in my Google photos and it's 2 years since I last did any crochet! Don't feel the urge to do any either...

  3. How lovely that the storks are back, they're such fantastic, almost pre-historic looking, birds, aren't they? I'll never forget my first real-life sight of these birds a couple of years ago.
Brilliant outfits as usual, Monica. My favourite is the first one, I'm loving the pops of orange in the jumper and those provided by your necklace. Granny-style lingerie is the best, I've been looking for a pair of pettipants for ages!
The fuchsia jacket worn over the colourful dress is a close second. A true sight for sore eyes! xxx

  5. How lovely to see those storks, Spring is coming!
Those trousers look lovely on you and the snazzy maxi looks wonderful with the fuschia jacket.
I'd go for a longline waistcoat for the crochet starfish, so many wonderful opportunities for layering. xxx

  6. Storks! Our trees are full of robins, and the seagulls are starting to look for nesting spaces.
I know - neutrals - I've been finding myself wearing them too and I feel the difference in my moods. I need more colour - you're so inspiring! I remember those crochet flowers! I never did anything with the ones I tried. :)
