weekend & wide trousers

Once more, we've made the most of some warm days to go out for some excursions and visit some of our favourite spots. We don't get bored with visiting the nearby town of Laguardia (touristic info) which offers a wide variety of activities. The vineyards don't look as appealing as they do when green or reddish, but winter landscapes are what they are. The weather was so unseasonably warm that I only wore a denim jacket over a fine knit pullover. Both of them were second-hand recent purchases!.
Linking Visible Monday and wishing you a visible week and a slow fashion autumn!

- tropical print trousers, sewed by me / pantalón de estampado tropical, costura casera

I've 'upgraded' these trousers that I bought some time ago (see them before). I removed their (annoying) lining and added a side panel to make them wider (and more interesting, in my opinion). They're quite sheer now, as they're made of a devoré velvet, but I think it's an improvement because the fabric shows better its floatiness now. Actually, they look like an exotic dancer's trousers, even if it is unnoticeable in these pics. I'm planning to wear them in another (and more interesting) ensemble as son as possible!
No more warm days, it was colder and I wore tights under my trousers and my shearling coat too!.

- scarf, retail (old) / pañuelo, antigüito
- purse, ages ago / bolsito monedero, de hace siglos

  1. Loving the trousers - both floral and with the side panel added. Fabulous! Love the tops with them and the denim jacket and that gorgeous shearling coat which looks so elegant. I haven't dyed any shoes for a very long time - you've made me think about doing it!

    Have a great week, Monica.

  3. That's a cunning trick for widening the trousers - they look really fab.

Laguardia looks like a pretty place. I've never been to north Spain, I should rectify that!

  4. Laguardia looks lovely, the pink enamel sign on the house behind you is gorgeous as are those cobbled streets and open spaces.
How funny, I'm wearing a dress with sleeves I'd done a similar treatment to, your trousers are a brilliant remake and the fabric is perfect! xxx

  5. Oh to be able to be out and about with just a light jumper and jeans jacket! Those were the days! Laguardia looks lovely as does the view over those vinyards! Love how you widened those trousers, you have definitely made them more you in every way. The green jumper and pink scarf are just perfect with it. Your shearling coat was one of your best finds ever, wasn't it. Warm and fabulous, what's not to like? Besos xxx
