winter is for colours

I have to recognize that sometimes I forget completely about some items in the bottom of my wardrobe (out of sight, out of mind!). So no wonder that I've found this denim miniskirt and felt like discovering something new. Even better than new, as it's free and fits me perfectly (after so many years!, good news!). I love to go shopping into my own wardrobe.
And I have another reason to be happy with this find, as I've been missing some bottoms to wear with my tunics. So I think that some miniskirts and tunics are going to be worn together frequently in the future.

The local theatre was built in the late 19th century and reformed in the 1980s after a massive fire. It's a small and charming building, whose glaze-like decoration and pastel colour make me think on something created by a confectioner. Do you miss going to the theatre?, I do!.

- pink turtleneck, old / cuello vuelto rosa, antigüito
- tights, Snag raspberry pie / medias, Snag
- sneakers, Nike outlet (old) / zapatillas
- crochet scarf / bufandita de ganchillo
- raincoat, Seasalt / abrigo impermeable
- cork bag, Fine Cork Portugal / bolso de corcho
- necklace, charity market (old) / collar, de mercadillo solidario
- mask by Nonapapallona / mascarilla
I went for a walk along the riverbank, carrying my camera, and could take some photos of the birds. I've watched cormorants previously, but never could take a photo of them!. And there are also some storks and ducks, but they can be watched frequently. These storks are permanent residents, they don't go anywhere in the winter. But many others will come in spring.

Hope you're keeping yourselves safe and as fabulous as possible

Espero que sigáis todo lo estupendamente que podáis.

I love that restored theatre, it's a lovely shade of duck egg blue and you're right, it's huge.
You've done a great job of photographing the birdlife, and that bench looks wonderfully inviting. How I'd love to be sitting on it chatting with you. xxx

  2. We don't have storks here (just cranes) so I'm always excited to have a look at one. Cormorants are common, but this one looks much different. Thank you for sharing the photos.

    1. Dear Goody, white stork was an endangered specie some decades ago, but now its population is increasing and many of them don't migrate to Africa in the winter as they used to do (due to warmer winters and lots of food in the city dumps). They're really typical in our urban landscapes: there's no spanish city or village without a stork's nest over an old belfry.

  4. How exciting to find forgotten items in your wardrobe, enabling you to create a whole range of new outfits! I love the tunic worn over that denim mini skirt, and those raspberry pie Snags are delightfully scrumptious. That theatre looks magnificent, and they did a great job restoring it after the fire. We have had a similar situation with Antwerp's city ballroom. It was restored after being gutted by fire, and it's now the most magnificent shopping centre! I love cormorants, they look almost prehistoric! Besos xxx

  5. You look great with these outfits! I love the colors you have chosen and especially the tunic shirt. Beautiful photos of the Theater ... the color of the facade is unusual ... Yes, I miss the winter evenings at the small theater in my city. For 24 years, 12 or 16 performances have been held a year. On Saturday evening you could listen to live music, played by Maestri Concertisti, Choirs, Poetry readings with live music by Orchestras. (Ass. Melodica) Patience ... We hope that the situation will improve soon ...

    1. Sorry to hear that you're also missing live music, theatre and poetry readings. Sometimes we take for granted all these things, but now we really appreciate them more and more.
(You can write in italian if you like, I can read it!. And I'd reply you in spanish if you understand it too!).
      Thank you for your comments!

  6. I am in love with your tunic! I love the colours and the pattern and it looks great over the mini skirt. Great bird photos; how fab to be so near to storks. I miss the theatre too and vow to go more often when things return to normal....one day.

    Take care

And storks are nesting on some baskets installed by local government, which is a total success!. Now we can see them so near!

  7. Oh, look, we both did pink tights on almost the same day! I adore miniskirts, and you are rocking this one, Monica. Legs for miles, as they say!

I love seeing pictures of wildlife - I took a ton of pictures of squirrels and birds on my walk yesterday.

  8. Oh, and YES, I miss the theatre so much! My dates with Mom were much missed by both of us this past year, from the time together to the plays themselves, and dinner out after - and dressing up for them, too! That is a gorgeous theatre!

  9. Ooh, you have great legs! The theatre makes a lovely backdrop. And I'm envious that you can find something from years ago and it still fits; I seem to get bigger with each year that passes.
