Summer But Not So Much

Even if the temperature was still quite summery at noon last week, there was a distinctive breeze in the mornings which felt quite autumnal. But I squeezed a few days at the swimming pool before they closed until next year!. Actually this is one of my favourite times of the year, totally the best part of summer (no heatwaves!)

Aunque la temperatura seguía siendo veraniega en las mediodías de la semana pasada, había ya esa brisa distintiva en las mañanas que anuncia el otoño. Pero aún así conseguí aprovechar la piscina unos pocos días más antes de que cerrasen hasta el año que viene. En realidad, este es mi lado favorito del verano (sin olas de calor!) y un momento del año que me encanta.

That's a dress I acquired from Vinted, label PuntRoma, on May. It has been stored since then, with my not-so-summery clothes and it has been lovely to wear it again!. I've learned to search for labels at second hand webs, so I can (somehow) manage the sizing. It was amazing to find that exact dress because I had tried it at their local store two years ago. Actually, I picked another dress that day, but still remembered of that one being lovely too (only that I did not feel like splurging in so much). Finally I paid a fraction of its original price when I shopped it second hand!

Este vestido también llegó de Vinted, marca PuntRoma, allá por Mayo. Lo he tenido guardado con la ropa de entretiempo y ha sido estupendo recuperarlo. No soy marquista, pero en las páginas de segunda mano funciona bien buscar por marcas, facilita el asunto tallas. Me sorprendió encontrar este vestido en concreto, porque me lo había probado en la tienda física como hace dos años. En aquella ocasión elegí comprar otro vestido, pero éste también me pareció mono, sólo que no tenía yo ganas de comprar dos vestidos. Al final he pagado una mínima parte del precio original al comprarlo de segunda mano (y como nuevo!).

I've kept wearing trousers almost everyday, perfect for shoulder season. As a layering lover, I love to add a crochet cardi and a scarf to a summery outfit to make it more seasonal and more interesting too!. So I added a crochet cardi-vest and a wool scarf (by Alpagamonde, old) to my lightweight trousers (LaRedoute, years ago) and retail shopped top. Sneakers by Nike outlet. Retail shopped straw bag, years old.

He seguido llevando pantalones casi cada día, me parecen perfectos para entretiempo. Como me encantan las superposiciones, me gusta mucho añadir una chaquetita y un pañuelo sobre un conjunto veraniego y así transformarlo para la nueva estación, y también hacerlo más interesante. Así que me puse una chaqueta-chaleco de ganchillo y este chal de lana (Alpagamonde) con mis pantalones de verano (que son de LaRedoute, de hace años). Zapatillas de Nike outlet. Y el bolso de paja de una tienda local, hace años.

We've been making the most of the lovely weather, so we went for some urban walks and also ran errands frequently. Totally business as usual!.

Aprovechando que el tiempo estaba buenísimo, hemos salido a hacer recados y a nuestros habituales paseos urbanos, según solemos hacer. Nada fuera de lo acostumbrado!
