I'm back from a long weekend, as we took a pair of days off. Probably we should have spent our free time on mundane tasks, did some cleaning and decluttering which our flat is in need of. But we went to my hometown to visit my parents (and old friends!), which is so much better!. Anyway I'm pottering around every evening so our home is more and more (acceptably) tidy, getting things done at my own pace. And keeping anxiety at bay!.
It has taken me ages to write something, as I'm becoming an expert in procrastination, but still don't give up in posting weekly!.
Let's start last week's outfits recap!. I usually pick some 'mood booster' clothes to start the week. So I wore my Massive Flower Skirt to the office and then we went for a walk in the evening. Massive flower skirt was once a second hand dress (I removed its wobbly top). Striped pullover was shopped at PuntRoma years ago. Puffy jacket was shopped retail. Shoes by Camper (last year). Scarf was a present by Mom. And the weather was unseasonably warm!
Orange is the new Orange!. That's what I wore on Wednesday, another unseasonably warm but windy day!. It was a quiet day at the office (or so my notes say) and I went for a walk and some coffee after work.
That skirt was shopped in a second hand stall at Sunday street market, from a pile of 1€ aprons (leave no stone unturned!). Crochet cardi (pattern by Katie Jones). Shoes by Camper (old). Old t-shirt (Festa?). Earrings by MateriaRica (retail shopped). Bird brooch was a present by Mom. Charity shopped beads. Usual cork bag by Fine Cork Portugal. Coat by Seasalt Cornwall.
We went to the nearby city of Vitoria (and my hometown) to visit my parents and obviously we had to go for some walks and have some pintxos!. It was a proper holiday, as I kept myself away from computers and neither missed them nor even took more than a few photos with my mobile phone. I'm not a good blogger (nor instagrammer, actually) as I forget to take photos and ignore the most instagrammeable sceneries, too busy myself watching or enjoying or eating or having fun. I took five photos!
I'm back to work and business as usual, so I'll see you next week with more outfits and quotidian lifestyle.
What a wonderful trip, I love seeing your Mum, I can see where you get your style from! Thanks you for introducing me to the word pintxos, a new one for me! xxx
ResponderEliminarIf I've learned one thing from Jos's illness is that cleaning and decluttering can wait - and believe me, Dove Cottage is in dire need of both - and that spending time with your loved ones is much more important!
ResponderEliminarI'm loving your mood-boosting outfits, my particular favourite being the second one, which I already admired on Instagram. What a lucky find that skirt was!
Like Vix, I didn't know the work "pintxos", but after googling it now I do :-))

Glad you had a nice break. Spending time with friends and family is what matters. Sod, the cleaning and housework! Lovely outfits; my favourite was the skirt with green top and the fab Katie Jones patterned cardigan. Your home town looks wonderful.

I love those leaf earrings! As a carpet cleaner, I don't always get to wear what I want at work so I always try my best to get accessories and jewelry I love. I need to go get a pair of those earrings. Thanks so much for sharing!
