faking spring in a raincoat

Last days I've been pretending it's spring, wearing summery clothes under my raincoat, but I was not able to wear my sandals and even my sneakers got soaked a few times. Faking spring can be a challenge!.
I don't feel particularly disappointed because of this weather, as I'm not a huge fan of summer hot weather. Rain can be annoying sometimes, as I can't enjoy my usual long walks nor sit on a terrace, but temperatures are mild and days are long, and I'm ok with that.
This dress was bought on March2017 (at a charity shop) and worn a lot of times in the summertime, which makes my 3€ investment really successful!. I do love its muslin cotton fabric, particularly because it doesn't need ironing, it's really wash'n'go and so summery. I think that I'll keep on wearing it, whatever the weather.
Rainy weather predictions go for at least another four days, so my raincoats are going to be really trendy these days!.

  1. The combination with this beautiful pink is gorgeous! And your colorful dress with a stripy shirt - so fun!
Like you, I don't deal with very hot weather well, and much prefer mild temps. It's been a cool week here too, in the 60s F, which is low for this time of year. But I don't complain - there will be time for wearing sundresses! I need a good raincoat though - can you believe that I don't have one?
    Lots of love!

  2. A dress which is wash 'n go is a winner in my book, and even more so if it's got such a fabulous print! I love it combined with turquoise and pink. I'm not a big fan of warm weather either, but it seems it's always one or the other, either it's too warm or it rains :-) But after the heatwave we've been having, I've been looking at my raincoats longingly! Hope you'll be able to do without them soon! Besos xxx

You look springy and carefree, despite the rain. Your raincoat is very Monica!

  5. Sorry to hear you've had so much rain. It's definitely summer here in the UK. I like the outfit very much and what a bargain the paisley print dress was! I loved it with the pink scarf and the striped tee underneath it.

Hope the weekend is going well for you.
