We were having a lovely quiet week which suddenly went to hell on Friday when Mr.A. was involved in a car crash, had no injuries (which is the most important thing, so good news!) but resulted in our old car being not repariable. Personally I feel it was a stroke of luck, because nobody was injured and all the damage resulting was that our twenty-years-old car was taken to a scrap yard (so not a great loss!). However we had to deal with usual adult stuff: some red tape had to be done, and we have to rethink our lifestyle for the next weeks. Now I'm even busier than usual, managing it and searching for offers by car dealers. Sorry if I'm neglecting my blog and my blogging friends again!
But let's talk on clothes, and let's go back to November. I wore some black colour again, but added some statement accessories, as my new necklace made by a local artisan, and a brooch acquired retail. I have a weakness for massive accessories, they totally make a difference.
Everything here was posted previously, and I've worn same striped trousers (from a clearance sale) and same coat (retail) together many times. Orange top was a second hand find. Adidas sneakers, and usual cork bag by Fine Cork Portugal.
That's another repeat offender, same ensemble was worn many times last winter (it's becoming a 'last resource' outfit for uninspired days!). Both skirt and bolero cardi came from Sunday street market and I don't remember where or when that shirt was acquired (it has been in my wardrobe for ages). Massive scarf was shopped retail at Eme, a favourite local retailer and designer. I used my 'double scarf' strategy, as I wore a vintage neckerchief underneath that wooly scarf. Charity shopped brooch and retail shopped earrings.
I have something New to show you, as I bought this puffy jacket in orange. Obviously, new clothes is the last thing I need, particularly when there are second hand options, but sometimes it's hard to resist the temptation. I think it's going to be a useful piece, it layers nicely and it has such a vivid colour!. I wore it immediately with my massive flower skirt (second hand), matchy scarf (a present by Mom), orange cardi (also second hand) and DrMartens boots (ages old). My coworkers commented about how unusual is to see such vitaminic colours in the Winter (it was a rainy day), and we agreed that there's no reason for it.
I wore again that dress my Mom gave to me. It's becoming a favourite of mine, even if I wouldn't buy it new myself. It's by label Udalaitz (sorry they're not sustainable, nor in my budget; their designs are lovely). Snag tights, Adidas sneakers, usual cork bag by Fine Cork Portugal, retail shopped coat (old).
I'll be back to business as usual (including some sporadic commenting and intermittent posting ;DD) as soon as we're motorised again!. Hope you're having a fabulous Autumn.
I'm sorry to hear about Mr. A.'s car crash, but indeed the main thing is that he wasn't injured. And now you've got an excuse to buy a new car - however stressful this might be ...
ResponderEliminarFabulously colourful outfits, as always, my favourite being the second one, with the massive flower skirt combined with your new orange puffer jacket being a close second.
Never mind the lack of commenting or intermittent posting: sometimes blogging does have to take a second seat to daily life and a bit of adulting! Mil besos xxx
So glad Mr A wasn't injured but I understand what a hassle it all is. Love the new jacket and all the outfits were lovely as always. Love the new brooch, too.
