purple & white jeans

Wearing white pants in winter can look a little bit unsuitable, however I think they're versatile (white is so easy to mix and match!) and practical, if you choose a comfy and warm fabric. I would love to find a pair of corduroy pants in white, but that's almost impossible, so I keep wearing my winter white jeans, which are pretty warm.
And I've purchased this chanel-esque jacket at a local charity shop for less than 5€ (and it's flawless!). I found it last week, when doing some charity shopping with a friend, but I let it rest for a while, because I thought that there're too many jackets in my wardrobe. Obviously, I had to pay another visit to the charity shop, and then I couldn't resist its purple plaid-titude.

Los pantalones blancos en invierno pueden parecer poco apropiados, pero creo que son muy versátiles (el blanco es bien fácil de mezclar y combinar) y son prácticos siempre que sean de un tejido cómodo y cálido. Me encantaría encontrar unos pantalones blancos de pana, pero eso es casi imposible, así que sigo con mis vaqueros blancos de invierno, que son bastante calentitos.
Y he encontrado esta chaqueta 'chanelera' en una tienda de caridad, por menos de 5 pavos, y está impecable. La ví la semana pasada, cuando estaba de compras con una amiga, pero la dejé allí, descansando un rato, porque empecé a pensar que serían ya demasiadas chaquetas. Evidentemente, tuve que volver a darle otra vuelta, y ya no pude resistirme a ese color morado y los cuadros!

Actually, there was a puff coat over these two outfits, but that's pretty uninteresting, as my puff coats are well known. I think that the best aspect of my winter outfits is 'indoor'. My opinion would change eventually if I find a fabulous winter coat!
I worn same little dress twice last week. First time, it was worn to run errands and then have our usual aperitif, and I was really warm and comfy on a quite cold day (3ºC). Then, I worn same dress to go to work on Friday, with a pair of leggings instead of the blue tights that I had picked the night before. It was a really sensible ensemble, as I went all day up and down ladders, without flashing my pettipants. Very lady like.

En realidad llevaba un abrigo acolchado por encima de esto que véis, pero es que me pareció muy poco interesante y muy visto, otra vez los mismos abrigos. Creo que la mejor parte de mi vestuario de invierno es 'de interior'. Claro que puedo cambiar de opinión en cualquier momento si encuentro ese maravilloso abrigo que me haría falta!
Me he puesto el mismo vestidito dos veces la semana pasada. La primera vez, para ir a hacer unos recados y luego tomar el aperitivo de costumbre, e iba de lo más cómoda y calentita en un día bastante fresco (3ºC). Me puse este mismo vestido para ir a trabajar el viernes, con unos leggings en vez de las medias azules que había ya elegido la noche antes. Una decisión muy prudente, ya que estuve todo el día subiéndome a escaleras y alcanzando estanterías, y sin enseñar las enaguas. Como una dama.

(almost) red dresses #2

Red and teal/turquoise is one of my favorite color combos and I'm used to wear it frequently. I think that a red dress could be worn with many shades of blue, but turquoise works particularly well.
Adding a third color would create something more interesting, as tri-colored ensembles are considered more balanced. So I've worn some black with my first (almost) red dress, as it's a color which is dominant in its print, and worn some orange/tan to match second dress print. I like black because it always adds some graphic contrast, but I prefer something lighter and brighter, orange!

Rojo y turquesa es una de mis combinaciones de color favoritas y suelo llevarla a menudo. Creo que un vestido rojo puede combinarse con muchos tonos de azul, pero el turquesa resulta especialmente bien.
Añadiendo un tercer color se puede crear algo más interesante, ya que las combinaciones de tres colores se consideran más equilibradas. Así que con el primer vestido, he llevado también negro, que es el color que predomina en el estampado, y con el segundo, naranja y color cuero, que combinan con el motivo del vestido. Me gusta el negro, porque siempre añade un contraste gráfico, pero prefiero algo más luminoso y brillante, como el naranja!

yellow cardi & comfort

I purchased a new cardi, then I've realized it's the fourth yellow cardigan I own, so this could be an obsession collection. This sunny color is very appealing to me, even if we're in the middle of the winter season. Obviously, I need some vitaminic colors to cheer up these cold days.
I've also worn (for the first time) an embroidered t-shirt, which matches perfectly an 80's necklace my mom gave to me. Serendipity!. However, my favorite new item this time is my crochet beret, which was made in two evenings meanwhile I was watching Victoria. My beret is not totally finished, as some details have to be added to it, but I couldn't wait to wear it!

Me he comprado una chaqueta de punto, y me he dado cuenta que con esta son cuatro las chaquetas amarillas que tengo, así que ésto parece más bien una obsesión colección. Este color tan soleado me atrae mucho, aunque estemos en pleno invierno. Está claro que necesito colores vitamínicos que animen estos días invernales.
También estreno una camiseta con bordados, que combina perfectamente con un collar ochentero que me dió mi madre. Qué coincidencia!. Pero lo que más me gusta es la nueva boina de ganchillo que me hice en dos tardes mientras veía unos capítulos de Victoria. Me quedan por añadirle unos detalles a la boina, pero no podía esperar!
