turquoise gingham

My sewing skills were summoned once more!. I felt in love with this turquoise gingham fabric and bought it just because I can't resist turquoise, and gingham is also very appealing to me!. Doubled irresistibility!
I used this same pattern previously to sew a purple tunic which I'm wearing a lot, so this pattern has been tested with good results. That made me feel more confident and all the cutting and assembling was easier than I expected (I'm not very skilled!)
The building behind me is our local Museum (link in spanish), a beautiful palace built in the XVIII century, and it's located in a very centric area, a very busy area. It was so strange to see it without usual passersby, delivery men in their vans, terraces, and lots of activity!. Probably, it was too early for all that fuss!
Linking Visible Monday and wishing you a very visible week!

No me pude resistir.

- gingham tunic, sewed by me / túnica de cuadros vichy, costura casera
- pants, very old, overdyed in purple tye&dye / pantalón, antigüito, teñido en morado con técnica tye&dye
- sandals, InterBios (old) / sandalias
- bag, Nonapapallona a/w / bolso, de Nonapapallona temporada pasada

More sewing projects to come!. I've been lucky in my last visits to Sunday flea market, and I've bought two pairs of pants from the second-hand pile. Both of them need some fitting, they're really a size or two bigger than my usual size, but I like loose pants, and I like that now I can fit them 'my way'!. I'm also going to remove the pockets from the blue one, as they're placed in the hip area, something very unflattering!.
I'm going to be busy as a bee!

Voy a estar entretenidísima!

I love the colours... so cool and bold.
A great antidote to many other summer looks that can be a bit samey.

  5. I've been following your blog for a few months now and I have to tell you how much I love it. Your bright vibrant colors, wonderful jewellery, red hair and great footwear makes me feel so good. And it reinforces my bright, blingy wardrobe choices. (I live in a very low-key, don't-stand-out town.) Love your style!
