weekend & excursion

I've enjoyed a short visit to my hometown, a good chat with old friends, and some walks trough the old town. I left my hometown more than twenty years ago, and I've not been a frequent visitor through the years, so I feel as a tourist coming back to a previously visited place. Some things are familiar, but many others look very different!

Obviously, some appetizers were consumed. We don't call them 'tapas' here, they're 'pinchos', and sometimes they're really fancy food!. But there're also more traditional and comforting pinchos!

Evidentemente, tomamos unos aperitivos.

  4. Your hometown is very pretty (much more so than mine, which only had a population of 1,000 people when I left, over 30 years ago). Tapas or Pinchos, they look delicious regardless of their name. Your turquoise doc martens make me smile whenever I see them - I wish I could wear that style, but they hurt my feet.

  6. Your hometown looks really beautiful. I wonder if being away for many years means you look at the place differently, and perhaps appreciate its charms more readily than you did when you lived there!
The pinchos look delicious, and I could just do with a glass of red wine now! xxx
