winter blues

Wearing a pair of tropical-print pants in a rainy day could look unreasonable, but it has been pretty comfortable. Actually, the print or color of a piece of cloth doesn't determine if it's waterproof or warm enough to be worn in Winter. So it's ok for me to wear lots of summery prints in a rainy Winter day if I feel like it!. I think that a bold color coat (and boots) are key to brighten up a dull foggy day!.
(Same outfit was worn previously on September)

- turquoise shirt, old / camisa turquesa, antigüita
- boots, Dr.Martens (old) / botas
- coat, Lighthouse (new) / abrigo
- scarf, Passegiata (old) / bufanda
- beret, retail (old) / boina
- bag, Nonapapallona, last season / bolso, de Nonapapallona, pasada temporada

Last week I bought this massive blanket-scarf in a bright purple color. It's a little bit bulky, but I do love the color so much that don't care!. And it was locally made in the nearly town of Ezcaray, where handcrafted textiles are a tradition. High quality blankets!

And this is another bunch of accessories I've worn, including some brooches I made last summer and my favorite necklace, which was a birthday present.

This weekend I'm going to visit this Open Mercado at Würth Museum, a local designers and artisans market which is celebrated into a contemporary art Museum, doubled fabulousness!
Have a nice weekend!

  2. It's our mission to brighten up grey and foggy days! And you do it so well here with your tropical and floral print trousers. Who says there for Summer anyway? The purple blanket/scarf is fabulous and looks so utterly warm and cozy. And I am totally in love with the you-made camera and telephone brooches! Besos xxx

  3. I do love both of those brightly patterned trousers and how you've styled them. The last time I wore similar colourful, but thin, trousers I wore woollen tights underneath - what do you wear under your's if that isn't too personal a question!

Your birthday necklace looks fab and as for your brooches - they are gorgeous and they look lovely clustered together. I also loved your bangles and rings, The purple blanket scarf is exquisite and looks so warm and vibrant.

Enjoy your weekend and stay warm!

    1. mwahah, that's a good question!. I was wearing a pair of cotton knickers/shorts. Usually, I wear tights under my floaty/silky pants, as it's comfortable, but not under any other kind of pants (too constricting!)
It's 5ºC-7ºC these days, not really cold anyway. When it's below zero, I wear my woolen tights and cord pants!

  4. You are the queen of patterned colourful trousers!
No need to apologise for wearing them out of season.
I love your new blanket shawl, and your little brooches are too cool!

  5. You put together the most amazing colours and patterns. I especially like when you pair shades of blue and green as in this outfit. The coat is a wonderful colour; I wish more people would wear bright coloured coats.
