massive flower & black

Some days ago I found this massive flower skirt in the same spot where I had found a similar dress months ago (which I transformed in a skirt, see it here). Second hand stalls at Sunday street market sometimes have this kind of hidden gems, don't you love a serendipious find when shopping second hand?.
Both pieces needed a new elastic waistband, which is an easy fix, so this time I've taken advantage of other people's lack of interest in repair/revamp. Obviously, I have mixed feelings because it makes me sad that people discard their clothes so quickly.

  4. How serendipitous that you found a skirt with a similar massive flower design. This one is very stylish, especially worn with that black top. I often have the same mixed feelings about the amount of clothing which is available second hand. Some people are so shallow! At least you're giving these clothes a second life, and a fabulous one at that! Enjoy your break Monica! Besos xxx

  5. I love your skirt and how beautifully the necklace echoes the colours in the skirt! The pantalons are also very groovy and colourful! I think pink and turquoise are your colours, Monica, you suit both of them so well. Have a lovely blogging break; I enjoyed mine. I will catch up with your posts over the next few days....

  6. That skirt is so wonderful.
There's no shortage of used clothing where I'm at either, which does make me wonder who is buying it all to begin with.
