summer colors & autumn

We have had our first snow yesterday and I've been wearing my winter boots and puff coats since then. But I worn some other clothes before Winter reared his ugly head, and they were not dull color clothes anyway. There's no reason to wear bright colors only in the summer, we could do it the whole year around!

- coat, Lighthouse (new!) / abrigo
- crochet cardi (very old) / chaqueta ganchillo
- pants, Los Telares (very old too) / pantalón
- turtleneck, La Redoute (old) / cuello vuelto
- boots, Clarks (old) / botas
- silky neckerchief, retail / pañuelo, tienda local
- pendant, a present by Sacramento / colgante, un regalo de Sacramento
- crochet beret / boina de ganchillo
- brooch, made by me / broche, hecho en casa
- bag, Nonapapallona (last year)/ bolso, de Nonapapallona, del año pasado

This is what I worn on Friday to go to work when it snowed (a little), and this is my first 'mirror selfie' ever, using a massive mirror close to the lift. No glamour was involved in it!

Esto es lo que llevaba el viernes, cuando nevó (un poco) y esta es mi primera vez fotografiándome en un espejo, aprovechando uno enorme que hay junto al ascensor. El glamour estaba ausente del todo!.

  1. We've had our first snow here too, but luckily it didn't last. It only messed up my commute ... My favourite is your first outfit: those trousers are fabulous! I love it how you keep wearing colour in spite of the season. There's more than enough grey in the world already. Hurray for Monica's outfits! Your mirror selfie is not bad at all. I've tried them too, but so far failed miserably! xxx

  2. I'm so happy we don't have snow here yet! The longer I can avoid it the happier I am.

I love the bright blue boots.

I'm so lame at mirror selfies. You did a fine job here.

  3. We have had a couple of light snowfalls that were gone by the end of the day. I think it's important to incorporate bright colours into your wardrobe in the winter when the days are short and we need some cheering up. The turquoise boots and red accessories are wonderful!

  5. Oh you are so clever making the map brooch! I love maps and can spend hours looking at them. I have my bureau covered in map wallpaper and the chair has a map covered seat, too.

You are so right; colour is for all year round not just summer. I do love the combination of pink and turquoise and the all the blues (and yellow) in the first outfit are so cheerful.

What do your work colleagues think of your outfits (not that you care!) but I'd be interested to know.

Hope the snow doesn't last too long...
    xxx

    1. dear Veronica, my work colleagues (all of them are men) rarely comment on my outfits, I think I could go into the office dressed up like Carmen Miranda!

  6. I agree! Fun colors year round! I love your outfits, they make me happy!!! Love the red scarf and your mirror selfie - why not? We can do what pleases us! :)

No snow here, and the weather is surprisingly gentle for December. I was watching and reading about Camino de Santiago - I got so inspired!! I thought of you on many occasions, as I understand you live in Northern Spain, so it might even be not far from the French Way then (if not on it)? Have you ever traveled it?

    1. dear Natalia, Camino de Santiago cross the city where I live, Logroño, so I walk a little bit of the Camino everyday, when I go to buy groceries or visit the public library! (isn't it amazing!?).
I've never traveled more than one stage of the Camino, just an excursion or a day out walking. It usually takes a month to walk the French Way from Roncesvalles (near France) to Santiago. It's really hard sometimes, but a great experience, not only because of the spirituality involved, but also because of the landscapes, the people, the culture. So many interesting things!

    2. How wonderful!!!!! You know, when I watched a travel diary of two people who travel the French Way (all 800 or 900 km of it walking, it took then just about a month, as you said)... anyway, I even though that some town looked just like your town when you show it on pictures! Of course, I might have been wrong, since so many towns have similar scenery and medieval churches... I am so fascinated with the whole phenomena, and yes, it is learning the culture, meeting people, trying food, learning history, and spiritual inner journey of getting to know yourself, getting closer to your center - that's what makes Camino so amazing! I have to start practicing though - I am too weak to make even one day of Camino at this point. But who knows what is in store for us. Maybe I will walk your part of Camino with you some day! :)
      Lots of love!
